Hello everyone, I have a question for you.
Half of my life is spent meeting very unconventional and unusual people. Even crazy people

But I'm also rather unconventional myself.
I feel comfortable in these groups because I belong there.

Is this due to my 11th house Ruler around its aspects, the house of community?

I've also met a lot of new, unusual people recently, in the cosplay area.

I have attached my chart with Trabsit and would be very happy about your feedback if you have a moment

Greetings Marc

I don't see anything immediately popping out. I think your moon-Jupiter-Neptune trine gives you a lot of openness and comfort-level in your own life, with your domiciled Mercury exhibiting a lot of natural curiosity. If someone show up in your life as eccentric, you're probably not going to feel put off by them.

Uranus is the planet of unconventionality.

Would anyone like to comment on this ?
I will, with much pleasure.

Such description seems quite Uranian; Uranus is all about what makes something unique and original, and thus, weird and unusual.

But I'm also rather unconventional myself.
Your natal Uranus is conjunct Saturn, which happens to be its own dispositor. Under this context, Saturn represents the base structure of our lives that forms through challenges and though lessons we receive, therefore, it represents the state or our inner-strength. Uranus conjunct Saturn means that your uniqueness is an important backbone for your own composure. In order for you to have a stable life, you feel the urge to not follow the group and follow whatever you feel like following.
Saturn contacts aren't usually regarded as easy; They're worse at young age, and gradually ease as we grow older (not because they weaken, but because we get better at handling it). In your youth perhaps you felt like the odd-one-out, and you may have felt that that may have restricted (Saturn) some of your possibilities, especially in terms of the 9th and 10th houses (Saturn lordships in your chart; These are, usually, higher education and social visibility/success, among some others).
Your chart lord, Venus, is in opposition with this conjunction. Oppositions always seem to seek a way to express their energy, if not, they create stress and tension. It's ideal for you to be always expressing yourself. Particularly, the contacts between Venus and Uranus usually tend to give the person modern views regarding the aspects of love (alternative forms of unions, such as homosexuality) and, in this case, self-image through alternative gender identity (since Venus lords the Ascendant).
I feel comfortable in these groups because I belong there.
The 11th house represents where we feel like we belong.
Unironically, Uranus and Saturn lord and co-lord, respectively, your 11th house (Aquarius is lorded by Uranus and co-lorded by Saturn). Adding on to the aforementioned, the fact that both lord your 11th house, being 'unique' isn't just something you use to harness your inner-strength, but it's also something you tend to look for in groups. This configuration also suggests that you tend to project your individuality onto others to 'measure' how well of an acquaintance, friend, or even partner, the person in question may be.

Is this due to my 11th house Ruler around its aspects, the house of community?
Without any doubt, due to all the previously explained in this post, yet, not only that, but the planets within the 11th house tend to give an outlook more closely into the kind of personalities your friends/acquaintances have.
Mars is there, in sextile with your Saturn-Uranus conjunction, meaning that your friends not only carry their own individuality and uniqueness wherever they are, but they also tend to actively show it, especially through Mars-like activities, which involve action, sports, and moving-the-body in general.
Returning to the 11th house lords' conjunction, they're in the same decan as Neptune, which means that you may feel at peace with people/communities with the aforementioned qualities, yes, and on top of that, that carry out Neptunian qualities; Neptune is quite complex, it represents everything that's not part of the reality (dreams, imagination and creativity, but also drugs, video games and reality-escapes); Some qualities that come to my mind that may represent your friend-group, when permuting all the given combinations:
- Neptune with Saturn: Affinity to theoretical sciences, puzzles, or theology.
- Neptune with Uranus: Affinity to anything that's alternative to what is mainstream: Unique groups with unique interests other people may find weird or unexciting. May also signify that the group is highly linked to some humanitarian cause (Uranus lords Aquarius), such as easing others' suffering, social service, or helping people in general.
- Neptune with Venus: Highly artistic or recreation-focused: Artistic themes, such as painting, acting, dancing, and singing.
- Mars in 11th house: Active and somewhat demanding/draining.
If I was given the task to summarize all of this in one sentence, it would be quite prone to be off in perspective terms (not in contents, but perspective), however, here's my attempt:
'A serious and committed (Saturn) association or group with serious and committed members (Saturn), with the objective of expressing an original, modern, unique or rarely practiced (Uranus) artistic or recreational (Venus + Neptune) discipline (Saturn + Neptune), through the physical body (Mars), such as dancing or acting (Mars + (Venus + Neptune) )'.

I've also met a lot of new, unusual people recently, in the cosplay area.
How interesting. I had to look up the meaning of 'cosplay' because I didn't know what it was (as far as my research went, it seems to be some kind of costume-based activity with the objective of representing a particular character or a set of characters, primarily focusing on the resultant cultural phenomena rather than the physical costumes per-se as in a mere dressed-up interpretation; Please, let me know if I'm wrong).
That would fit quite well what I said above: It has certainly an artistic compound (Venus), that's action-centered (Mars), escapes from reality (Neptune), it's about uniqueness and its interaction with the rest (Uranus), and it has a serious focus, in the sense that it's not taken lightly (Saturn). Since your Venus, Ascendant lord, is in opposition with Uranus-Saturn and Neptune, seems to be like a good fit for you; Cosplay-ing may have a therapeutical effect on you.

I will, with much pleasure.

Hi InFlux,
woww you really did a great job describing that. Thank you very much

So you would also say that Uranus plays a big role in my life in what I do ?
I also need a lot of freedom in my job and in relationships in general. I'm currently switching to a part-time job so that I have more freedom and time for my hobbies and I also have very unusual preferences in relationships =)

Greetings Marc

Glad to hear. My pleasure.

Yes, for all of its aspects (especially regarding its own lordship, the 11th house, Saturn and its lordships, Venus, Mercury, Mars and Chiron).

I also need a lot of freedom in my job and in relationships in general.
Mercury lords your 6th house of the work, and Saturn lords the 10th house of the profession. Both are in contact with Uranus, so you do need a workplace and a profession that lets you run through your own original vein. You also need time freedom, and you're likely to dislike fixed deadlines.
About formal relationships (e.g. marriage), Pluto lords your 7th house. The thing with Pluto is that it's in opposition with Jupiter, and everything that Jupiter touches is expanded, either for the good ('abundancy') or for the bad ('excess'). Since the opposition is an anharmonic aspect, you oftentimes feel the need of an excess of it, usually for you to compensate something else.
About informal relationships (e.g. dating), the Sun (in accidental exaltation) lords your 5th house. Your Sun's dispositor is Mercury, and Mercury is in that cluster opposing your Uranus and Saturn. Needless to say, what happens thereby.

I'm currently switching to a part-time job so that I have more freedom and time for my hobbies
That sounds great.
Regarding specifically the topic about hobbies, the 5th house lords hobbies as well. You have the Moon there, so you usually need to find some kind of emotional connection for something to be a valuable hobby for you. Leo is in your 5th house cusp, meaning that you feel like finding fulfillment by 5th house themes, such as enjoyment, doing pleasurable activities, playing, art, and, perhaps, even having children (since the 5th house usually represents one's children. However, I do say perhaps because Leo is there, alongside the Moon, so you may fear that your children reduce your personal freedom and enjoyment for life by compromising you emotionally and mentally too much, denoted by Moon in Virgo).
and I also have very unusual preferences in relationships =)
You seem to have come to terms with that part of yourself, and I think that's so wholesome. So happy for you.

Feel free to keep the thread rolling.

Is this due to my 11th house Ruler around its aspects, the house of community?
With saturn ruling your 9th, 10th and 11th houses, and exactly conjunct uranus, the unconventional has a strong pull on you. Not only in friendships, associations, but in your career, and also probably includes foreigners as well.
They are both exactly opposite venus, ascendent ruler, creating a strong energy dynamic for you.
Currently uranus is transiting your ascendent, igniting this energy.
Mars, ruler of your 7th, is exactly sextile saturn/uranus so your relationships will also have this type of theme.
The saturn/uranus conjunction is not always easy to handle because they represent opposing qualities.
One is innovative and rebellious, the other cautious and traditional.
The conventional versus the unconventional.
The need for boundaries and the desire for freedom.
In your chart mars plays an important part in helping to riconciliate these two forces, and it is through your relationships that you will find the balance between the two.
Also conjunct the saturn/uranus is neptune, and while the former are in the 8th house, neptune is already in your 9th house.
Neptune rules the 12th of your chart, so higher learning, and the occult, will help give you great insight into the mechanisms that are working within you.
You might find your instincts are very strong, and possibly you're a a bit psychic.
While your taurus ascendent will tend to be grounded, the Gemini sun is more playful, curious and experimental.
Square mars, you might tend to overdo it a bit at times, creating rifts with friends, but saturn/uranus should bring you back in balance.
Nice energies at work here!

Hi InFlux, you were right again=)
Yes, I would have the feeling that having children would restrict my personal freedom.

That's why I don't want any at the moment.
My preferences are rather unconventional. I am currently writing online with 2 women. Like me, both women are rather unusual sexually. So I like the type of unusual woman.

I have been dying my hair blue for 2 years now.
In addition, my transit Uranus runs through my 1st house.

That seems to give the whole thing even more power

Hello ElenaJ,

thank you very much for your quick reply=)
But my 11th house ruler is my Uranus ?

My 11th house cusp falls in Aquarius.
At least according to modern astrology, Uranus is assigned to Aquarius, right?

greetings marc

Good catch on Uranus, folks. It can work the opposite way, where Saturn suppresses Uranus and its normal quirkiness.

Hi waybread,
well, the uranus usually always has the upper hand in this constellation. Or rather, it will always free you from restrictive situations.

Uranus is raw mental energy and therefore usually stronger.

No. This is not always the case, and is not always true.

This desire for individuality is more expressive of Leo on your 5th house ruled by the Sun in Gemini in the 1st house.

Could resonate as a “Mary quite contrary” need to be “different”, to “stand out”, to have your “individuality” act as a sole expression of your persona/identity, juxtaposed against everyone else that you would consider “normal”. When ultimately, it’s really just a matter of appearances, being “different” for the sake of being “different”.

A true Aquarian/Uranus-ruled individual would not be asking such questions. Nor would they waste their time on dying their hair blue, they have bigger causes to attend to.

The energy doesn't always come from within.
It could be something as banal as boundaries imposed from outside of our own initiative and choice.
Or, government restrictions, i.e. look at the rules (saturn) imposed because of the Covid crisis.
Dictatorships.
Even jail time!
These all win over the Uranian desire for freedom.

It was simply the urge to change visually and try something new
That doesn't mean that I don't do other things on the side =)

Well, the rules have long since been lifted. So freedom has won out in the end after all=)
