I posted about this in the vedic and horary astrology forums but as I am really hoping to get some insight from others (as it is a dear friend of mine, whilst I can/have make/made my own predictions I worry that I may not be able to view it from an objective lens) in regards to if there seems to be anything positive upcoming (preferably soon for her sake) based on my friend's natal chart

I have provided context for the negative events that currently/has recently occurred in my other posts about this but if requested I can post them underneath this thread, here is her natal chart alongside her solar return chart for 2024-25 and the current transits:
(she is currently in a 10H profection year, for those who want to know)

edit:
decided to provide the context in this post too; since last september she:
- unexpectedly decided to moved back in with her mother after returning during the aftermath of a traumatic experience and is taking a break from university
- childhood dog (r.i.p coco) had to be put to sleep suddenly
- grandmother (currently undiagnosed) suspected lung cancer/COPD potentially terminally ill (stage/prognosis is currently unknown but assumed/symptoms in line with stage 3)
- her mother is having to suddenly leave and go back to her native country to help look after her grandma, but has stated that she will not return until her health either improves or until she passes

she is now about to be living in an area that she has no connection to (she moved away to finish her education around the same time they sold her childhood home so this is the firs time she's ever lived in this area) and until her mother returns she will not be able to return to school or seek employment as her other childhood dog will be at a high risk of depression due to these sudden losses and cannot be left alone for long periods of time and she has a lot of anxiety surrounding all the loss/grief she has/is going through and how isolating her circumstances are about to become
any and all predictive insight would be greatly appreciated :)

It might be helpful to explain to your friend that good and difficult transits happen to us throughout life. The good transit is followed by a tough transit, which is followed by a good transit, then a difficult one, and so on forever. So when faced with difficulties, the intelligent way to use astrology is to gain in personal strength by learning how to cope with the difficulties.

Just now transiting Jupiter in Gemini sextiles her moon, and prepares to sextile her natal Jupiter. There should be some build-up of faith in herself now.

she actually introduced me to astrology when we were younger so unfortunately she is very aware of the up's and down's that transits can bring into one's life, I never considered it as a cycle of positive-negative-positive-negative etc.

transiting jupiter in gemini is transiting through her 9H (ruling over foreign lands) in current direct sextile with her natal 7H (being associated with relationships but also one of the houses having rulership of grandparents in general) aries moon (which rules over emotions/mother's, in grand trine to her 3H (also associated with grandparents, but may not apply as 3H is local environment and her grandma lives far away from her) sagittarius mars and 11H leo jupiter) + her mother has sun in aries) not sure if it applies more to her emotions or her mother I consider hopefully as a positive indicator of this sudden travel/indefinite leave

with her natal 11H leo jupiter that will soon be in sextile to the transit of jupiter in gemini through her 9H I see how with the jupitarian influence potentially building faith but as it will be in trine to her 5H aquarius placements (her sun, neptune, uranus) could it be seen as a positive change in faith/philosophical outlook on life/ in regards to her spirituality due to expansion in her friendships? (maybe reconnection with some (during the transit of leo mercury or maybe leo mars towards the end of the year as they will retrograde and aspect her aquarius/leo placements) that she's isolated herself from since she moved back and she needed time to herself to recover mental health wise and then more bad events occurred) or just expansion in pleasurable endeavours? (in trine to natal 5H)

eventually through gemini jupiter transiting through her 9H will oppose her natal 3H mars and conjunct her natal 9H saturn, alongside with the south node transiting her 1H and pisces saturn transiting her 6H (1/3H and saturn associated with grandparents in general and 9H ruling travel to foreign lands and the south node being associated with fate/karma and possibly detachment? (not sure) and the 6H ruling over health and pisces association with the 12H and loss) with her grandmother potentially needing surgical intervention for her sickness and that saturn transiting through her 6H has resulted in sudden death in her life twice now (the event that caused her to move home saturn retrograded back from her 6-5H and her childhood dog - saturn in pisces transiting through 6H in direct sqaure with her natal 3H pluto, mars rulership over needles, 6H ruling over sickness and pets, 3H of immediate environment/siblings coco being considered more like a sibling than a dog and saturn and pluto's association with death) I am concerned that these don't seem very favourable in regards to her grandma...

and the long-term transits of neptune in pisces ingressing into aries on her dsc-7H squaring her natal 4H capricorn venus-ic conjuction and saturn in pisces ingressing into aries being in conjunction to her 7H aries moon and both being in trine to her natal 3H sagittarius mars-pluto/7H aries moon/11H leo jupiter. I personally can only analyse as very favourable or very unfavourable as I am aware that squares result in tension (tension can be a good thing lol) which usually results in action I mention these as not only are they long-term transits but they are/will occur simultaneously with the transits I am interpreting as being related to her current misfortune, do you happen to have any analysis for the questions I pose regarding the transits with the context/interpretation I have already provided?

You definitely know enough astrology to give your friend a detailed reading!

Just my 2c:

I suggest avoiding making death predictions, which I infer from your next-to-last paragraph. It's a complicated set of techniques. They don't all agree, and they are often mistaken. Also, anyone of a certain age will have lost a number of people (and pets) they care about, and the transits are apt to be all over the map.

I don't take a deterministic view towards astrology. As you know, each planet, sign, and house has multiple interpretations that are nonetheless consistent with their core meanings. For example, you indicate that he 9th house does rule foreign travel, but it also rules developing a life philosophy, theology, ( + higher education, and great literature.)

Anytime a seemingly difficult transit comes up, I think it's helpful to look at an empowering interpretation, preferably one where the person can take actual steps to solve a potential problem. For example, the 6th house also rules volunteerism. Maybe your friend would benefit from volunteering at a local animal shelter. For sure if her grandmother isn't well, spending more time with her should be beneficial.

Jupiter is a planet wearing different hats, but I am coming around to the view that it's higher purpose is to give people a sense of faith that they are strong enough to thrive with whatever challenges life throws at them.

thank you very much, I appreciate the 2c

I do attempt to avoid death predictions in general but as I am looking at how it has manifested in the past and how recently saturn seems to have coincided with death with her recently but hopefully im wrong (hence why I've posted about this as I fear I may be too emotionally invested to view it completely objectively).

with the association with the 9H and higher education, with jupiter transiting conjunct her north node in her 9H - she found out that she had the credits to enroll in a higher-ranked university closer to home but with uranus resulting in sudden instability on her 8/9H cusp what has now occurred she wont be able to attend until whenever her mother returns

I agree with your methodology of reading positive interpretations of potentially difficult transits for example her current/upcoming 4H cap venus-ic sqaure neptune 7H/saturn + conjunct 7H aries moon I interpret as potentially a committed (saturn) dreamy/spiritual relationship (venus/7h ruling relationships, neptune/ic being associated with spirituality) affecting her at home (4H/ic) and causing emotional maturation (moon conjunct saturn 7H) instead of interpreting it as isolation from others (or her mother) and illusions within her relationships with others (knowing her personality, alongside with everything that is currently occurring in her life I feel as if it would be difficult for her to be blindsided by others right now), and funnily enough she actually has been considering doing some form of volunteering that won't require her to separate from her dog for extended periods of time - unfortunately though, as her grandmother lives so far away and someone needs to stay with her remaining pet she is unable to visit her

your interpretation of jupiter providing those a sense of higher purpose is very comforting btw :)

Thanks for the feedback.

I don't know what field of study your friend is interested in. I note that Uranus rules science, so perhaps that would be a good fit. Although the humanities belong to the 9th house, as well.

no problem, I appreciate the insight you have provided

she was/has always studied finance so I would be extremely surprised if she transitioned to science (considering her other academic interests are art/english/psychology) and I don't believe she is seeking to change the subject of her undergrad degree - but as uranus transits are long-term maybe it'll manifest as sudden opportunities for her to travel or gain spiritual knowledge?

btw, if anyone can provide their own observation/interpretation to my prediction/depiction of transit neptune into/through 7H conjunct saturn simultaneously conjunct natal moon and sqaure to 4H venus-ic that would be greatly appreciated!
