I used to do monthly write ups for the old Astrodienst forum, and more recently, the International Astrology forum, where I would list the upcoming transits for the month as a heads up, and posters would comment on how the transits manifested for them as the month unfolds.

Thought I would give it a go here, if people appreciate the heads up, and also wish to add write ups too, then I don't mind doing the monthly write ups every month. Also please let me know If this section is the right place, or should it be in another section.

If not, then no worries still finding my feet here, so if it's something that doesn't appeal then that's okay.

Usually I would write a brief few lines, but as we are already in August (and we can already see in worldwide events what is unfolding from the planets). I will leave them out this time and stick with dates only.

2nd - Venus Leo square Uranus Taurus at 26°53' (note there is still an Algol involvement)

4th - New Moon at 12°34' Leo - trine North Node Aries - sextile Mars/Jupiter Gemini

5th - Venus enters Virgo

5th - Mercury stations retrograde at 4°06' Virgo

8th - Mercury retrograde conjunct Venus at 3°44' Virgo

9th - Juno enters Libra

14th - Mars conjunct Jupiter at 16°40' Gemini

15th - Mercury retrograde re-enters Leo

16th - Mars Gemini square Saturn Pisces at 17°42'

18th - Mercury Leo square Uranus Taurus at 27°10'

19th - Full Moon at 27°15' Aquarius - opposite Mercury Leo retrograde - square Uranus Taurus - trine Chiron Aries

19th - Sun/Mercury retrograde Cazimi conjunction at 26°36' Leo

19th - Jupiter Gemini square Saturn Pisces at 17°27'

19th - Venus Virgo square Jupiter Gemini at 17°22'

19th - Venus Virgo opposite Saturn Pisces at 17°30'

22nd - Sun enters Virgo

23rd - Venus Virgo square Mars Gemini at 22°08'

23rd - Mercury Leo retrograde trine Chiron Aries at 23°12'

27th - Venus Virgo trine Uranus Taurus at 27°15'

28th - Mercury stations direct at 21°25' Leo

29th - Venus enters Libra

29th - Venus Libra trine Pluto Aquarius at 0°04'

To add some big ones, although technically occurring in September, we will start to feel it in August:

1st - Uranus stations retrograde at 27°15' Taurus

2nd - Pluto re-enters Capricorn

2nd - Neptune retrograde leaves the Anaretic degree of 29° Pisces

I am still recovering from the July fall out which seems to have been probably the New Moon conjunct my Pluto plus the opposition of Jupiter to my Moon Chiron conjunction, plus Chiron itself is doing its thing for ever over my Mars, Sun and Venus in Aries

I am not looking forward to the rest of the month as Uranus is squaring my natal Saturn and as this transit is long term, will be for quite some time.

But hey, things have started to improve the last day or so and can only get better!

Yes, thanks for write up. It helps to see it all listed. Seems like a lot, w/ Jup square Saturn, Pluto back in Capricorn at the bitter end of its journey there, Neptune leaving the 29th degree. Just feels like a lot collectively and individually. W/ Mercury square Uranus and the FM, too, square Uranus, jangling nerves seems to be a common theme.

On the 2nd, our beloved family cat, Ziggy became very ill, had trouble breathing. Took him to kitty ER, x-rays showed he had fluid in lungs---and now they are saying it is probably leukaemia.

This transit hits my natal T-square to Pluto in Leo in the 4th

Katydid, sorry about your kitty. I had a lot of ill pets yrs. back (Saturn tr 6th along w/ other things) and it was very trying. Hope you and kitty find comfort.

Mars-Jupiter already feels almost anxietybod so much to do, going here and there all while merxury retro has accidents ans traffic jams galore. Only cars here. No trains.

Jupiter-Saturn already feels “get real” with work opportunities made easy.

Mars sq Saturn may ask us to go, but have to wait - Like trying to enjoy a summer day, but smoky skies make you hide inside.

How is everyone finding the Mars/Jupiter Gemini conjunction?

I feel like it's a bit too high octane for me, especially as the upcoming T-square will aspect my natal Neptune in 12th

Which is pretty much doing what it says on the tin, the need for solitude for the mind. I plan to do a Digital Detox this weekend, after spending yesterday morning watching various YouTube videos about the UK situation for a solid 3 hours

I caught myself out in the end, realised I was getting too sucked in to the online rabbit hole BS that I've been getting on my very Sagittarian high horse soapbox about all week, decided to switch off and exercise instead.

Then sat out in the garden for a bit, then came back in and watched a nice documentary about space. A journey to the Milky Way, I learnt some fun new things too

Got as far as the Alpha Centauri triple-star solar systems though, then nodded off lol

Yes, very high octane---especially since Mercury, ruler of that Gemini conjunction just turned retro.

That Mars/Jupiter in Gemini is in my first house. I edit scripts for writers and we use Final Draft program so I can make revisions in blue ink and they can reply or modify in pink. Suddenly all our words are coming out in black then switches colours again. So I have no idea who typed what. And deadline is approaching, which of course is the 15th, when conjunction is applying to exact.

I am hoping that if we shut everything down and reboot it all jumps back to correct colour? lol

on the 5th, when Venus entered Virgo, and Mercury stationed Retro, the vet specialist we were sent to walked back the diagnosis that the emergency hospital gave us.

So now they sent a lab report saying the initial test was inconclusive, POSSIBLY false positive.

My daughter is taking him to get c scan to see if there is a tumour, because it might not be leukaemia. But there is something going on, just haven't pinpointed it yet.

Katydid, Hope your cat has something easily fixable. There's an example where Mercury rx might have helped as it not being as bad as you originally thought.
PenguinTrauma, yes, I think we all need digital detox once in a while, healthy. W/ our US elections here, many here need it, too They should put meds in the water supply maybe. I think too much Gemini lately for me, easily to get frazzled.

I am a bit lost after Astrodienst forum closed. But now when Solar Arc Uranus is getting close to natal mercury (12h Libra) I begin to find my way into other forums.

Thanks for listing aspects PenguinTrauma and nice to se that you are in this forum.

I have mars/jup conj my natal south node in 8th house!! I have so much going on in my chart so its a bit difficult to sort out whats what.

At this moment in time I have been focusing on finding a new used car for a while. I know its not the best time for shopping cars and its been a lot of dubbel/trippelchecking/testdriving and so on/. Still not found my car. Im carefully waiting until every cell in my body says YES.

Merc retro has definitly pushed me to start organizing, aswell as dubbelchecking everything.

Obviously one for the Mundane enthusiasts, maybe there is already a thread on this, but I found it quite noteworthy that there will be an interview between Elon Musk and Donald Trump, in 6 hours time.

Right before Mars conjuncts Jupiter in Gemini, ruled by a Mercury retrograde, and after first quarter Moon in Scorpio opposite Uranus of course, it's the perfect time for a calm and reasonable discussion (said nobody!)

In all seriousness, I feel this may be quite a pivotal manifestation of the Gemini/Mercury retrograde energies. Not siding with one or the other, and putting personal opinions aside, they are both strong persuasive speakers who can very much hold their own in a debate. Both are controversial figures, obviously.

I'm not sure, given the Mars energies, that this will be an amicable interview. Moon Scorpio in fall (ruled by Mars, which is about to conjunct Jupiter) opposite Uranus Taurus, there may be some shocking statements?

Or the gods may surprise us, and it will be a damp squib!

Here is what my day has been so far.

I've had trouble with tradesmen because of misunderstandings. This morning, I stumbled in the subway, spilled my coffee, and almost missed my exit. I've also been having trouble at work. I received another offer today from a job I had only recently turned down.
I had a minor emotional breakdown today, but I'm looking forward starting therapy soon because I need to confront certain issues in my life head-on. And because of this breakdown, I missed an appointment because I took a nap to calm down.

The energy is really demanding.

Hugs @mona Kithe energy has been quite buzzy lately. Glad you found a way to slow yourself down. Mercuru retro plus the malefic-benefic period will remain scattered for some of us until Aug 29th when Venus enters Libra.

So when Venus Squared Uranus @27Taurus, Ziggy our Maine coon cat became short of breath, panting, etc. Took him to ER, they drained fluid in lungs and did a snap test, which was positive for leukaemia.

When Mercury went retro, and Venus entered Virgo, the vet backtracked, said it was not leukaemia. And we had blood tests done.

Recently those tests came back negative for cancerous cells in the fluid, but they still don't know what is going on.

So during the Full Moon he had his lungs drained for the 3rd time. And they did a CT scan, and did not see any tumours or abnormalities, other than swollen lymph nodes.

So now they are thinking it might be heart disease. He is 13 yrs old. Which is not ancient but middle aged I suppose?


My daughter picked out Ziggy as she moved into her 1st apartment when she was 18. He came back and lived with my husband and I a few times over the years, but has lived with our daughter for past few years.

She has Mercury @25 Taurus in 6th house. So this Uranus has been riding through her 6th of pets for awhile now. She lost her other kitty to a sudden, rare infection about 10 months ago when Uranus was conjunct her Venus in the 6th.

So this has been a painful frustrating thing for it to be happening again.

In the next 2 days we are supposed to get test results from the heart doctor, basically saying if it is the end or if it is treatable.

Also, my daughter has her Moon at 3 Aquarius---so I worry that it might be a loss now that she will be faced with again,

I am currently doing my personal write up on my experiences with Jupiter square Saturn. We are going to have this one again on Christmas eve, but with Jupiter rx and Saturn direct.
While this thread may not necessarily be the right place to discuss it, are you interested in digging deeper and doing a comparison, which ideally serves as a prep as well?

August was huge. It think the last time I felt similarly overwhelmed was in 2020. Looking foward to Mercury and Venus gaining strength.
