2. JA, where is your sense of humour?
Who knows... probably under surveillance
Surely you are familiar with irony and satire!
Apparently not... explain the unfamiliar idea... preferably using words of one syllable:smile:

Indeed, I can see that you are actually attempting to create some satire yourself.
You flatter me

If you keep at it, you will probably improve with practice.
Do you really think so?
JA, the rest of your post is so utterly silly that I really do believe you are trying to brighten up my evening by giving me a good chuckle. Sort of like Mark does.
Good to be appreciated:smile:
Hey, thanks. It's so thoughtful of you.
That's ok

Sweet Pea, this is an interesting link. I note that the article said that a Japanese company had invented this camera, not that anyone had actually used it yet. We'll see what US privacy advocates make of it. I am guessing that wearing big glasses or a hat would throw off the scan's ability to index you. Also, you see so many pictures of Japanese people wearing surgical masks in public to ward off germs. I am also guessing that these scans don't come cheap.

The reverse question, however, is what obligation does your government, transit system, or managers of other public places like malls have to keep you safe from terrorism or muggings, and to protect themselves from theft? Hiring extra security guards gets expensive, and their wages would come out of your taxes, train tickets, or purchases.

I swim laps at our local rec centre, and I just recalled that in the corridor where we have to leave our boots and shoes before entering the change room there is a little sign saying that there is a surveillance camera, and anyone who steals or vandalizes people's footwear will be reported to the RCMP. Apparently this was a problem.

So two points. One is that, yes-- I am under surveillance even out here in the boonies. Two: is this security camera a price I am willing to pay to deter somebody from stealing my shoes?

Something that caught my eye (and that I recently heard on NPR) was about employers demanding job applicants' Facebook passwords. Facebook is going to sue them over this invasion of privacy.

South of France? Sounds tempting. One wonders, however, what the French version of the CIA is up to there.

Hi Mae Mae,

Train Wreck is the right Principle, firstly look at any location before 1800, everywhere had local Meridian, with any astrology programme, you will know this by looking at an astrology programme, if indeed you own one, DO YOU FIND THAT LOCATIONS ARE located with hours, minutes, and seconds???

Now look to any location in a modern date....it has been rounded off to the nearest half hour or nearest hour? This is Greenwich Meridian, how time is valued in modern times, astrologers must understand this to go forward....going slowly, please try to understand...its very important, Trains did change our perception of time, timetables to catch a train means we changed, to rounding off the hour!

Hi my friend from Canada,

I'm polite, and feel not all secret societies are bad guys, however i don't know how to put them into black or white, it is very difficult for me to know, lets start with humour that has a measure of doing something good!

We know that many countries have obelisks, indeed before Renaissance many were broken up and buried like the Vatican Obelisk, however it was put up in the backyard of the Vatican!

You and i see no reason for obelisks, lets leave it there, but Aids day activists have found new reasons to use these monuments, that is very funny, but is important to health issues!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-12053610

My humour is Aids activists, but very important to world health, love the pink condoms ha ha!

http://www.ruerude.com/2005/12/the_giant_pink_.html

We can laugh and note a good cause together, however if i was to show the history of these obelisks....we may not laugh together!

If you want to Show Zonark and Jupiter as idiots, that is easy, we know that by covering statements by lots of ****!

Zonark left comments over the Pentagon.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Pentagon

Ground- breaking on 11th September 1941, funny isn't it???

Hell, when i want to show this is up to me....get geared up!

As an addendum to the Pentagon's most intriguing architecture, look to the Law of Fives.

http://jubal.westnet.com/hyperdiscordia/law_of_fives.html

:alien:

"The soil conditions of the Pentagon site, located on the Potomac River floodplain, presented challenges to engineers, as did the varying elevations across the site, which ranged from 10–40 ft (3.0–12 m) above sea level. Two retaining walls were built to compensate for the elevation variations, and cast-in-place (Franki) piles were used to deal with the soil conditions.[29] Construction of the Pentagon was completed in approximately 16 months at a total cost of $83 million. The building is 77 feet (23 m) tall, and each of the five sides of the building is 921 feet (281 m) long."

This song popped into my head.

"Smoking on that hallelujah, thank you Jesus
Help me focus on the future and not the previous
Double R, I'm a rebel with a reason
Sometimes you gotta fight the devil with a demon
Blood is in the streets and it is up to my knees
Underground ****, I see myself as a seed
Living in the glass, and everybody's looking
But how can you get the picture, if you don't know who took it?
This current affairs, but who the **** cares?
Everybody's fighting over positions, musical chairs
On the road to redemption, you gonna use a few spares"

JupiterAsc, please note built by JOHN WOOD THE ELDER, if you do remember you will be able to show stuff about him, think of Bath, UK!
Please notice in modern times the hour is rounded off with the place where time is examined, being Greenwich, UK, this wasn't always so in UK, it was because of trains, link below:-

Hi Monk, have some Transatlantic Acorns

Two of John Wood’s original stone acorns from the King’s Circus were shipped from USA to Bath for The Building of Bath Museum’s 2005 exhibition ‘Obsession’.

The acorns were taken from Bath in 1962 during extensive repairs on the King’s Circus. Brown Morton III, American architectural student staying in Bath, spotted builders removing acorns from the parapet and loading them into a lorry. The two workers would not sell them as it was ‘more than their job’s worth’ but suggested that if the architect were to follow them, they could not help it if he saw where the acorns were being dumped. Brown took the salvaged acorns back to Brock Street and when he returned to America he gave them to his friend, Jane Plante, then living in Hampstead, London. They remained with the Plantes in London until 1981, when the family returned to South Carolina. Jane’s first husband died and when she met her second husband she moved to a smaller house and the newlyweds decided to donate the acorns back to Bath and, significantly, to The Building of Bath Museum. http://www.bath-preservation-trust.org.uk/index.php?id=94

I'm just playing at the moment Zonark, you mention fives, look at Washington Monument, astrology/astronomy later!
Tell me i'm wrong, it is 555feet 5 and 1/8 inches tall.
Nice Obelisk, Presidents have their oath in front of it!

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Washington_Monument

Oh my, not sure how I missed that! The extra 1/8th of an inch was probably an error.

All pyramids have five sides after all, counting the bottom

Most curious that I can find little on the man who set the capstone to the monument, referred to in the wiki as P.H. McLaughlin. His name is inscribed in the capstone on the South face and he is listed as follows;

Master Mechanic.
P. H. MCLAUGHLIN.

This is the full text inscribed on the 4 sides of the obelisk;

Master Mechanic McLaughlin... can't find much on this guy, but Master Mechanic sounds awfully synonymous with Master Mason.

The pyramid has inscriptions on all its sides... so dare we ask what might be inscribed on the bottom?

Should you walk into the Washington Monument, you will be met with a statue of George Washington with his left hand resting on a fasces.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:George_Washington_Statue_Inside_Washington_Monument.JPG

The fasces is a symbol often used in the United States
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fasces

Here it is on the state of Colorado's seal;
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:Seal_of_Colorado.svg
(notice anything else about the seal? )

THE FASCES - An Icon representing the Strength and Power of Ancient Rome http://www.legionxxiv.org/fasces page/

QUOTE - The FASCES was a cylindrical bundle of elm or birch rods bound together by red bands, from which an ax head projected; and which was borne by Lictors (attendants and body guards) before a Consul or high Magistrate, as a symbol of their authority. The Fasces was adopted from the Etruscans. It symbolized the power of life or death that a Roman Magistrate had over the Roman citizen; who could be scourged by the birch rods, representing physical punishment for transgressions; or be beheaded by the axe for serious crimes

The lowering of the Fasces was form of salute to a higher official. It was also an emblem of unity and power; being used as an icon on coins and "coats of arms" long after the times of Ancient Rome.

Zonark - I did notice something interesting on that seal that also appears on the attached image of a 1 dollar bill

btw - note the image of a Fasces on the back of a Dime

Aha, hadn't noticed that on the back of a Dime! The ones I have with me now are inscribed with a torch in the center with an oak branch on the right and an elm branch to the left. What year is that dime from?

SOME MORE INFO FROM http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dime_(United_States_coin)

Winged Liberty Head ("Mercury") (1916–1945)
Main article: Mercury dime
1936 Winged Liberty Head (Mercury) dime

Although most commonly referred to as the "Mercury" dime, the coin does not depict the Roman messenger god. The obverse figure is a depiction of the mythological goddess Liberty wearing a Phrygian cap, a classic Western symbol of liberty and freedom, with its wings intended to symbolize freedom of thought. Designed by noted sculptor Adolph A. Weinman, the Winged Liberty Head dime is considered by many to be one of the most beautiful U.S. coin designs ever produced. The composition (90 percent silver, 10 percent copper) and diameter (17.9 millimeters) of the "Mercury" dime was unchanged from the Barber dime.

I never confuse America with the U.S Gov't.
Somewhere the gov't started telling us what they want from us instead of us telling them what we want from them.

How true this is.

Its the same with the UK g. I don't know how much news USA gets about other countries, such as the UK... Lol, we are basically drumming to the beat of the gov who make up the rules as they go along.

CCTV everywhere. I joined a directory who sold my name to 3rd parties without my permission. This was done over the phone and I wasn't even given the free will to say 'no, I would like to tick the box that says don't sell my name'. I the recieved a ton of calls from different companies and proceeded to get quite annoyed, complained to the directory who apologised. But now a load of companies have my details which means other agencies can probably find me. Free will and privacy, out the door.

I know the old argument, if you've done nothing wrong, then you have nothing to hide. That old chestnut!! :w00t: Rubbish. Ever head of being wrongly accused, scapegoated ect ect. It happens all the time and I've been through that more than once.

For example, I only just heard about that new system they are installing at (for now) alot of US airports. I think the UK are refusing them. It scans the whole body, like a strip search for every single passenger that goes through the airside airport gates. An image comes up of a naked person so they say, they can look for things like guns, knives ect. It has also been found, that these images of attractive people have been sold for various pornographic purposes. Attractive women have been asked to go through 3 or 4 times repeatedly by the men (or women) behind the screens. There have been complaints that this new scanning system is in effect, forcing everyone to have a strip search when there is no moral or legal right for them to do so. And it has also been found that the waves used to produce the images are not proven to be safe for human DNA or cell makeup. I don't have time to do the research again, Google can provide. Though it was in a UK newspaper recently, cannot remember which one. However, this ain't fair useage and just proves that it's way way OTT and probably (and is) to innocent people's detriment. But then, the system, or people that the system consists of, don't give a hang about the average person's moral rights.

Oh we do have those scanners, at Heathrow, Gatwick and Manchester airports. It is very worrying what damage they could do to our bodies. They are going to use them at the Olympics too... I wonder how many people who bought tickets realise that?? And it's been shown that they would not even have detected the "underpants bomber" who was the reason they were brought in. (He was a 'false flag' set-up anyway).

Ah right, the last I read they were not going to be stopped. I just found this, a Dr refused to go through and was escorted off the premisis.

"Recent studies have suggested that the X-rays used at Manchester airport could produce 20 times as much radiation than first thought." http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/ukn...ter-refusing-body-scan-on-health-grounds.html

"Mr Aguirre said in the United States people can exercise their right to opt out of a full body scan. He said: "This raises the suspicion that perhaps its more expensive to do a manual search and that's why they are forced to go through an X-ray." Which is ultimately what this all comes down to, saving money. It is a disgrace that this is their motivation. These people are just out of touch, those that run the system. It is time for a radical change.

I am Sag rising, North node conjunct Nep in Sag, Mars in Sag in the first house. I love travelling, but am more than willing to take a boat if it means avoiding these potentially dangerous and sillly machines.
