Why is God represented as a man, goes by male pronouns? Is a womans purpose only to birth a man who will succeed her? Or does she have a godly aspect to her as she gives birth to this being??

This representation of “god as a man” is a historical/cultural matter; in my opinion only created beings are male/female; the Divinity is beyond gender.
I agree. If God exists as the Creative Principle of the cosmos, such a Divine Being could not possibly be limited by our puny anthropomorphic notions of fathers and mothers.
Bunraku, there are also the constraints of language. Languages are heavily gendered; some much more than English. In Biblical Hebrew for example, the default position for a single person is a masculine pronoun.
God is neither male nor female, because God is immeasurable, and God is the absolute infinity that we can't handle at all, and God is pangender and agender at the same time
