Grok AI was asked "On what day, at what time, and in what neighborhood did the recent LA fires start?"
The answer was: "The recent Los Angeles fires started on Tuesday, January 7, 2025, around 10:30 a.m. in the Pacific Palisades neighborhood."

USA Today confirms that start in Palisades and gives times and locations for fires that followed:

"The Palisades Fire started burning around 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and has scorched thousands acres around the beach towns of Santa Monica and Malibu. Around 6:30 p.m., the Eaton Fire broke out in Altadena near Pasadena and swelled to more than 10,000 acres. By 10:30 p.m. a smaller blaze named the Hurst Fire had ignited in Sylmar, in the San Fernando Valley northwest of downtown Los Angeles and consumed about 500 acres.

The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection gives these coordinates for the fire:

Here's a chart for that time with coordinates for the town of Pacific Palisades (34n03, 118w32)

Mars is approaching a trine to Neptune. You would look for trines, rather than squares, in terms of disasters that are large scale and covers mass areas. Easy flow of energies between the two planets, hence the fires were able to spread rapidly over a large area, with nothing to prevent or block it.

Neptune is associated with the sea, the ocean, the areas are near the Pacific. Also, it's an area which has a lot of high profile celebrities residing there, the link to the Neptunian glamour and glitz.

Also note the square between the Moon Aries, with Mars Cancer, and in Mutual Reception. Involved in a T-Square with Pluto Aquarius.

Neptune is also movies, hollywood nearby. Smoke and fumes.

The Mars - Pluto opposition seems relevant. Lots of heat and fire, destruction in that. (sextile/trine the nodes)
Mars ruled Aries intercepted in the first house, suddenly erupting fire sign that is out of control.
The tight sextile from the ascendant (Oceanside Pisces) to algol / Uranus indicates sudden loss of property (Taurus, 2nd house)
The ascendant is also just a degree of the lunar eclips on 17 september 2024
Chiron in the first here is in the degree of the solar eclips from april 8th 2024.
If Mercury on the MC is a message from the federal governent (in a fire sign) and the Moon are the people (caught in a fire sign), maybe this was the very swift way that Pres. Biden gave his fiat for federal fire-fighting support?

This is very personal situation for me---it's playing out in my city. It's been a rough few days, with so much loss and turmoil and uncertainty. And we haven't lost our home, so it's nothing compared to those connected to the 5000 buildings that have already been decimated.

We have a few friends that lost everything. And one friend lost their business and everything in it. It was a motorcycle shop. He's heartbroken.

My natal MC is @ 1AQ10.
So Pluto on the MC---my world is in a Death/Rebirth cycle?
And Mars/Cancer on the IC---there is literally fire surrounding my home.

I have Uranus@ 18Cancer---opposite the event Sun @ 17 Cap.

I have Saturn @ 19Libra opposed the event Chiron in Aries in my natal 12th.

Transiting Uranus @ 23TA is conjunct my Asc @ 21TA21.

So lots of Uranus activity and Saturn/Chiron. And of course, that tr Mars/Pluto opposition right on my IC/MC axis.

My daughter had to briefly evacuate last night, was on the way to our house but then she went to pick up her friend and the evacuation was rescinded. I barely slept last night because I wanted to keep track of the active fires---one was 3 miles from daughter and another was about 7 miles from our house.

And this afternoon, a new fire erupted, on our street, in the next neighbourhood, and my husband and I got an evacuation alert. We were already packed up, but again, it was rescinded.

So now we are just hearing horror stories from friends and neighbours. :(

The Mars/Pluto opposition forms a grand cross in California's chart with its Uranus/Pluto conjunction and its Moon/Venus Conjunction.

That's interesting!

Can you elaborate a bit on the how and what for the birt chart? I've seen some earlier chart as well, the time seems very specific? I'm curious, nothing else.

Second question is why the comparison to a Greenwich-time chart?

The chart for California is the day and time of the passage in Congress of the California Statehood Act. San Jose was chosen for the capital at the time.

If you look closely at the chart of the Mars/Pluto opposition you will see it's actually the chart of the quarter moon about a day before the news of the fires broke. It seemed an appropriate starting point.

Yes I see, thank you for elaborating!
