Mars in Libra? I don't understand you guys

So, I am Gemini sun Venus in Aries Mars in Aries woman, he is Gemini sun Venus in Aries Mars in Libra.
I am legally married but in an (yet to become) open relationship with an Aquarius, and I am considering this Gemini guy I am only texting (he is from another town, we would only be occasionally meeting). I have read all the articles that the internet search returned about the Mars in Libra, I have to say that from what I can see, it fits him perfectly (esthetic sense, surrounding himself with classy and art items - this is what he actually likes to show me about himself, also a people pleaser and avoinding conflict). When we text, we have the same texting style, we have fun spinkled with some teasing and compliments. Aaand... he has no clue I have my eyes on him for something in real life not just over messenger. Also I don't want to scare him off, nor to come on as too frivolous because I am really not. My question is how can I make this move forward, considering that he knows I am married and his sense of fairness and justice might kick in, how can I prompt a response from him because as fiery and direct as I am, in this situation my intuition tells me that telling him or asking him straightforward would be awkward, and I need to be more diplomatic about this.

It means that we have both discussed and agreed we could see other people, but none of us has actually done that since we agreed upon it several years ago.

I have frantically read and understood about planets in signs and their relations, but I do not understand quite so well planets in houses.

Yes, that is me. Currently working on keeping my impulsive nature under control in more than one aspect in my life.
I understand the emotional intimacy problem that might occur, and what I have in mind is not that kind of relationship, I have no deep emotional expectations from this, nor any long time commitment expectations. I just want something lighthearted and fun, for as long as it stays that way. And I am stuck at how to get the ball rolling.

thank you all for your reading.
In the meantime I was reading article after article about the other aspects in the natal charts and the synastry chart, especially interested in the aspects involving Mars/Venus and Neptune. It really helped me understand a lot. I do not understand something, when in a synastry chart, how are the Neptune-Mars/Venus aspects read, because you can view this from both sides, my Mars/Venus - his Neptune, his Mars/Venus-my Neptune. Which one does one chose, which one prevails?
