Medical astrology is still new to me - but fascinating! So, I have been trying to deduce whether the birth of my child (due on 3/17) will be natural or surgical, and whether or not we will both survive with no problems.

I have fought for the chance to try for a natural birth (my first was surgical), even to the point of switching doctors today. The first one was pressuring me to have a scheduled surgical birth so he could go out of town this weeknd.

Needless to say, my new doctor will allow me to try. Yay! But in reviewing my chart, I wonder if that was even necessary - as the Uranus-Saturn opposition is transiting the house cusps of 2nd/8th houses, which seems to indicate a surgery? Or do I get to stick with tradition? Or perhaps that is indicating my abrupt change in physicians (the new one is much older)?

Neptune is transiting my 6th, and I'm not sure what to think of that... I have hope, though, that my health will be ok, as Jupiter is transiting trine my natal 6th ruler.

My current lunar return, which ends on March 25, has my moon elevated and conjunct Mars just near the MC. This has me worried, as Mars is the 6th house ruler in this chart (and rules my 8th natally). It has a packed 5th house (this also occured when my daughter was born) that includes Jupiter conjuct Sun, so as I unserstand, my child will be born healthy - at least I hope that is a good indicator.

New solar return begins just 4 days after the LR.

Does anyone have any insight/opinions/input? I could sure use another set of eyes or five. :)

Thanks for taking a look!!

I tend to the use of some kind of instrument with the birth because of the connection between Pluto right on the 5th cusp and the sextile to Mars in the 7th Pisces of consultants such as doctors. It may be that you require help at the end. Looking at the second chart I see that Uranus is conjuncting Uranus in the 5th and a good aspect to the Mars Moon in the 10th of head doctors or nurse. So again there can be help with forceps perhaps. I dont use these type of charts myself so I am no expert. Perhaps others will have a clearer view. Possibility of a caesarean perhaps.

All the best for the coming birth.

Thanks Claire! I still have not given birth yet, and cross into another LR tomorrow. Surgical birth is now inevitable (will take place Friday 3/26). The only questions that remain are regarding my health, and that of my son. Neptune conj Chiron currently transits my natal 6th, and I worry about infection... and the possible consequenses.

Do you have a natal Chiron Neptune connection.?? If not dont worry.

Have you given birth yet?? I am interested to hear how it all went.

Interestingly, a day after a new lunar return began, I gave birth via c-section. My doctor did not feel like waiting any longer would be beneficial (I was 10 days overdue). My son had not dropped at all by March 22 and my doctor did not think he was going to.

He did - the day of the scheduled birth, they had much trouble pulling him out, resulting in severe bruising on my son's head and eyes. As nervous and scared as I was, we were fortunate to both come away relatively unscathed. My recovery has been slower than last time, because I have had to force myself to slow down... that has been so difficult (perhaps that's the Mars/Moon conjunction?).

Pluto is directly on an angle (MC) in this LR square Sun and Uranus in house 12, square Saturn in house 6 (natally, I have a Sun-Pluto opposition and sun trine Saturn). This may reflect my distrust in the medical establishment - or my thoughts about quitting my job - perhaps my job will quit me (since Uranus is involved)! LOL

A new Solar Return began the day I came home from the hospital. Pluto is on the 5th house cusp of this SR forming many square aspects. That's scary and disturbing - but that's another post. LOL

I am sorry to hear about your son's difficult time and as he is an Aries the head area would have to involved wouldnt it!! I hope you soon recover and enjoy your new son. I tend not to do solar arcs and lunar arcs but that is me. THey may give you more information but I tend to stick with the progressions and transits of the natal chart.
