Pluto Transits

I'm not sure you need any input from me, you've done a great job of analysing your chart already.

It's been an interesting few years for you ... with first pluto trine your moon in late Aries circa 2008, then pluto square your sun in 2009 ... the neptune opposite venus occurred in 2008-09 and mars in 2009-10. And now you have the other transits you mention.

You seem like you're taking it in your stride which is the way to handle pluto/saturn transits. I guess cappy asc has made that a little easier if you're already self disciplined.

You're right. The cappy ascendant does make it FEEL easy for me, but at times, I just let things brush off my shoulder. To other people, they would be like "oh my GOD, I got so much work to do..I can't handle it" etc etc. It's not that I make things look easy...they're definitely stressful, but it doesn't effect me that much emotionally. I guess I have a certain nonchalant, care-free attitude at times.

Funny you mentioned those years. From 2009 to this day, I haven't been employed professionally. I bet that has to do with those Neptune oppositions along the "money" axis (2nd/8th houses). If so, then my extended unemployment makes a lot of sense. Honestly, I'm wondering when I'll be back into the workforce. My best guess is in Sept. 2012 once I graduate with my master's degree (hopefully).

I'm new to this site, but as a Gemini sun with Scorpio rising--have research and talk seem to be where I am at...
In review of my transits when Pluto moved though my 12th house and then my first house: 1991--my divorce was final, finally.--and Pluto was at 18 Scorpio (opposite my 7th house Uranus).
in 1994 when Pluto was at 26 Scorpio, I was buying a home. Pluto would have been just over my ascendant. my mom died in 1999 when Pluto was 10 sag (twine itself)
but nothing else until 2003, the year I fondly referr'd to in my notes as "the year from hell" Pluto was 19 sag when my car was stolen (a few days before the war in Iraq started) and at 17 sag when my pet dog had to be put down, I was hit from behind in June with Pluto at 18 sag , my middle daughter moved to Arizona 9 days later, the list goes on.
so having Pluto and Uranus--ouch.
as to changes to self during last 10-12 years... I'm older, wiser, and really not looking forward to Capricorn visits by Pluto in my second house! esp when it hits 10 degrees.... I'll worry about the 18 degree aspects later !

Those were an interesting series of events! I'm wondering if Pluto hitting the Ascendant indicates a death in one's family. Does this always occur in people whose Pluto conjuncts their Ascendant, in the majority of cases, or not really?

in response to the question , does death happen when Pluto hits the ascendant no. my mom died at 10sag, my ascendant was 26 Scorpio. my natal Pluto is 10 Leo. so the aspect from transit Pluto back to natal house had more to do with the death then the house. if you note, I was buying a moble home at 26 degrees Scorpio. (the divorce was when Pluto was in 12th, and husband got the home. so a new place was in order...as was a move out of state, staying with relatives...yeah, a place of my own was a good thing)

none the less, I tend to think no one aspect, or house placement, is "responsible" for anything... Pluto destroys to rebuild, I hold on to the rebuilding part...helps one get though the destroy part...

Since I keep seeing references to several members remarking about Pluto transits....thought for organization purposes that a discussion thread be started...

Sag 8 degrees rising here...Pluto transiting my 1st house since around 1995. Squares and oppositions: Pluto opposition Sun; Pluto square Moon; Uranus opposition Pluto, etc and so on...I dont have the author of the following...this is from early notes I made on transits:

Pluto: Pluto symbolises complete change and transformation ~ not suddenly like Uranus but slowly, profoundly and with a focus on the very depths of our beings. It brings strength and intensity to whichever area of our lives it touches. Pluto transits question the central tenets on which we have built our existence and why we behave in the ways that we do. They bring hidden psychological baggage to the surface ~ allowing us to review and to rebuild matters from a fundamental standpoint. Outmoded yet deeply conditioned psychological and emotional responses are frequently notable candidates for such.

Pluto transits often confront us with highly sensitive topics which we would rather ignore, so it's effects can be very difficult whilst we are working through them. Issues of control, manipulation, jealousy, possessiveness, dominance and power are frequent. This planet can engender a very ruthless response, so attitudes which take no account of the feelings of others should certainly be avoided. It's entry into a house is often associated with destruction and with decay, yet in time a new order will arise providing that Pluto's essential challenges are squarely addressed.

Inappropriate resistance will generally prove useless anyway. It will usually only serve to extend and to prolong this planet's more difficult effects!

PLUTO TRANSITING YOUR 1ST HOUSE (approx. 14-30 years duration)
During this period you may desire increased personal power and physical invulnerability. You may transform your personal appearance and personal expression several times. You may increase your will power, self-confidence, and personal resourcefulness through physical or competitive activities. Through stages of self-improvement you cast off your vulnerable or threatened self- image and assume a stronger, more autonomous persona.

10 years of having Pluto transiting my 1st house has resulted in an 'armed truce' with the planet. I might add its effects on my psyche, reactions, feelings and perspective have been profound (thats putting it mildly  ). As a side note, it was during this time that I earned the nickname, Amazon. Yep, friends and family really do call me Amazon.

The power issues in my personal life have been about 'others', specifically their attempts to manipulate, exert control or to totally dominate me and my reactions to their efforts. I would also like to note that if you ever have to deal with some of the oppositions and squares that I have had in the last 2-3 years and are still occurring presently in my chart...May all the blessings of the universe fill you with more patience for others and yourself than you ever thought possible. Cuz yer gonna need lots of patience...

Interestingly, over the past six days or so, I have been pondering this very subject and reviewing journal entries. Had a great 'aha' moment too...I took a special work assignment in another state 2 years ago to 'get away' from what I thought at the time was dysfunctional family dynamic.

LOL! Guess what I learned? You might move or remove yourself from what you may perceive as the source, but your transits chase you regardless!! In the new state I found the same Pluto issues just with different people. At the time I was unaware of natal charts or transits and have now become aware. So it was actually the energies and reactions I carried within myself that brought out issues in another location.

You cannot change people or events. But you can change how you react to them, positively or negatively. You can change your thoughts not theirs. One of the most important lessons I have learned since Pluto came to visit my 1st house.

So, this Amazon keeps her plutonian charged arrows of assertion lightly sheathed, chooses her battles wisely, welcomes the challenge of introspection and personal growth, follows her own path regardless of what others would attempt to dominate, and realizes that a little bit of Pluto goes a very long way.

And so...where is Pluto transiting in your chart?

Amazon

Mine's going to be on the midheaven which is in Capricorn

What a complicated sounding transit that was for you. I'll remember that, Pluto chases you wherever you go, lol.

Mine's just crossed the DC into my 7th house, currently conjunct Mars and getting ready to conjunct with a load of stuff - I have 5 planets and my POF in Capricorn.

I'll let you know how all that goes. :)

I have been reading through this thread, what a wealth of information and what powerful/often traumatic stories of transformation.

I am scorpio rising with pluto in 10th conj uranus in virgo. So Im in the plutonian category I guess. I have faced my own death(potentially) when jupiter transited natal pluto. I was amazed at the energy I received at that time but also it was very lonely time. I had to be strong when all around were loosing it. That was 2004. pluto in sagi. Since then things have improved for me financially. (pluto tr 2nd house)

So pluto is now moving into my third house(equal house)
I can agree with those that have done a purging of their belongings with this as I have for over a year or more.(Im a bit of hoarder -4th house) However still feel the need to do more. think I will actually become very minimalist.

My asc is 8 degrees scorpio/I have moon at 9 degrees pisces/mercury 8 degrees, natally/north node in taurus 10 degrees. so this is an upcoming good time for me. this year I have said to friends that I want to do new stuff/ie get back to my true self. I enjoy walking/visiting country etc etc. This has already started to see a shift in people I know. Yes some people with unconscious difficult pluto aspects are acting very difficult towards me(ie pluto(libra) opp moon in natal and a pluto sq moon in natal and a pluto(cap) transit conj natal moon.) Frankly my dear I dont give a **** - Im happy to let these go as I wont be controlled.

Im a libra mars so confrontation is not pleasant for me but Im not backing down. Im standing my ground and I guess voicing my truth. Their behaviour is unreasonable/unwarranted and I deserve better. Im pretty easy going but I guess this transit maybe testing my boundaries. that is how it feels. I want to work towards an existance which is truer to me. It just surprises me that this is coming up and it has been instantaneous.

Im just surprised that this is happening.... third house of neighbours - have no real problems there. Although on guard for it. siblings - there is an issue which is on going but im trying to heal that and help a family member.

will I write more I would like (but frankly my story is nothing compared to some of those here)

so how is it natally for me I have the opp of saturn conj chiron in pisces.(pluto heads up a kite formation) so again I have some favourable aspects.

Pluto is in Capricorn, in my second house, trine my natal Saturn in 10th

what to expect?

thanks

Here it is
also I am going through Saturn transit in my 11 th, aspecting my T square :ninja: (Conjunct Natal Pluto, Opposition Mars, Mercury, Venus, Square Moon)

Also Uranus will be trine my natal Jupiter in 9 th

many thanks for any help to understand and get through these, it is quite a crisis and takes too much of me already

Someone I'm close to has a Capricorn Asc at 5 degrees, which Pluto has been hovering around for quite some time now and his moon is at 12 Libra, which is being visited currently by Saturn. He's approaching 50 this year and his life is sort of unraveling. He hates the work that he's doing (even though he's been wildly successful at it nearly his entire life), he's experienced the death of some important women in his life, he's had to deal with a few different lawsuits, and his sibling is now in serious trouble with the law. It's been really difficult for us to develop our relationship because of all the challenges and changes he's experiencing (I have Saturn currently conjunct my natal Pluto and square my natal Venus, which is making itself felt through frustrating and disheartening attempts to make it work between us despite all the blockages in our path).

mboy, you certainly have a lot of energy to handle in your natal chart.
Transiting Pluto, intercepted in your 2nd house (of self-value) is also completing a grand trine with natal sun (10th ruler, located on your Desc) and natal saturn (intercepted in 10th, co-ruler of natal 2nd, ruler of natal 3rd and 4th). This is what will give you the strength to find self-control and balance, and keep your cool.
Pluto is co-ruler of your 1st house of identity. By completing your T-square it will give you a point to funnel out energy. This is a good period to find out who you are.
Are you creative? Do you act? This could be a very positive expression for all that energy you have inside.

...none the less, I tend to think no one aspect, or house placement, is "responsible" for anything... Pluto destroys to rebuild, I hold on to the rebuilding part...helps one get though the destroy part..

Very true.
Pluto transits are part of a regenerative cycle, and not just destructive.
It's the "you can't make an omelette without breaking eggs" cycle.

thanks for your reply, ElenaJ

can you please give me information about the Saturn and Uranus transits happening in my chart right now

much appreciated

Hi everyone,

i have Pluto transiting my Jupiter-Mars conjunction now.

The Pluto-Jupiter conjuncton (they are 2,5 degrees away) "officially" started in January, but i think i feel it since the summer. Maybe i am wrong, but since Jupiter is ruling or world beliefs and philosophy of living, that is something that changed since the summer almost completly. Like from the right to the left. And it was not painfull, or not yet. There is one more transit to come, when Pluto starts his forward movement again. Jupiter is also the ruller of my 10th house and my mother. I cann see changes coming here ...

About the Pluto transit on Mars, it starts at the end of 2011, but i think i felt something some weaks ago, as Pluto came at distance of 1,5 degree. Anger eruptions that i didnt felt for years, was one change. Mars is also ruler of my 2nd house. As since this few weaks i started to think about investing my money. But now i read that Pluto transiting the ruller of the 2nd house means that the money go lost. Is it so?

Anyone has experience with this?

Hi Im new on here but this thread is what prompted me to join as Ive been researching the current pluto energies Ive been experiencing over the last few years.
All these posts make great reading and Im beginning to get a grasp on whats in store for me however if anyone can spare their time to offer advice or if anyone has a similar situation to mine I would be very interested in reading what they have to say.
Myself and my husband are experiencing some pluto transits and I would love to have some opinions from other people about what to expect.
Pluto has recently squared my natal pluto at 3deg Libra and opposed my ruling planet Saturn at 3deg cancer, is currently transiting my true node at 6deg Cap,next is my ascendant at 8deg Cap.
My husband is very plutonic with natal pluto conjunct his ascendant in Libra in first house.
Transiting pluto is currently in conjunction with his IC and will soon be conjuncting his moon 11deg cap in 4th and squaring his natal Pluto 11deg cap in 1st.
His 4th house is definately in focus. His mother was diagnosed with cancer in July 09 and died Feb 2010,since then his entire family structure has fragmented and will never be the same again.
He has many power struggles with other people and is always suspicious of others motives. It can be very difficult for me at times to handle his extreme behaviour.
I have become very contented ,relaxed and calm if somewhat despondent over the last few years. I have a positive outlook and face life with patience and a sense of humour.
He faces life everyday as if it were a battleground!
What do I have to come with all this pluto power and how do I handle my husband when he is on a plutonic rampage!
Oh and in our Composite chart Venus is at 13deg Cap.
Good luck to all the pluto warriors out there, may the force be with u !!!

I think I just had a startling prophecy regarding my Pluto conjunct Ascendant period! Let me know what you all think about this, and refer to the attached transits to see what I'm talking about:

Pluto officially conjuncts my Ascendant dead-on around my birthday, Sept. 24th-ish, in 2013. Lately, I've had these recurring thoughts to move to England to teach Chemistry at around that time. As of right now, I'm doing my Master's degree....I graduate in May 2012, then I'll work here in the USA for a year, which brings me to a possible move to England in Sept. 2013 (which is the normal beginning of a school year). So with my plans in mind, let's evaluate how I astrologically interpret these seemingly prophetic events....

With Pluto conjuncting my Capricorn ASC, I'm guessing that its ruler, Saturn, will be affected. Natally, I have Saturn in the 9th House conjunct the MC and Pluto. The 9th House refers to foreign travel, so could this possibly mean that I have responsibilities to undertake in a foreign land? I'm going to say yes, particularly as it relates to education (9th House) and my career (MC).

At this very moment of tr. Pluto conjuncting my ASC, the tr. North Node is conjunct tr. Saturn in Scorpio in my natal 10th House of career (Scorpio is the natural ruler of Chemistry). The tr. Moon is bang-on conjunct my natal north node in Gemini in the 6th house (teaching/service), leading me to believe that this is a destined event. Tr. Jupiter is in Cancer in my natal 7th House (beneficial contacts and relationships forming). Tr. Uranus is in my natal 3rd House (schooling in general). Tr. Sun and tr. Mercury are both in my natal 9th House of foreign travel/education.

What do you think? Does my move to England to teach Chemistry align with these transiting events???

I felt the transit of Pluto making a conjunction to my natal Sun. In Dec. 23th 2010 , when my transiting Pluto conjuncts natal Sun in my 4th house , my family's telephone was shutdown . Pluto is the ruler of my 3rd. house of communications and my Sun is the ruler of my 12th house of self undoings. Once my Pluto passed the Sun ,around 2 weeks ago , the telephone was functioning again.

Pluto started going into conjunction with my Moon-Mars-Neptune stellium 2 years ago and will be over it for about 5 more and I have been in Pluto H*ll. My step-dad and grandmother died, my best friend (who has a physical disability) was raped, and my faith in everything I have believed until now has been collapsing beneath my feet. The president I voted for so enthusiastically in 2008 turned out to be another corporate hack and my faith in mainstream politics has been crushed. I have had a lot of dark emotions coming out of the deaths and have been feeling overwhelmed my intense feelings of skepticism towards everything I have believed.

On the plus side, however, I have become much more empathetic (rather than just merely sympathetic) with others, I have been more sociable, and more in tune with my emotions.

Interestingly, over the past year or so I have become almost obsessed with Jungian Psychology. I also started meditating a year and a half ago to deal with all my emotions in 2009.

Pluto is in my 12th house 3 years now and things have been terrible for my family. I just lost my 47 year old son,40 days ago. Plus all the losses in that three years have made me a bit paranoid of what will happen next. I am tired of burying my family and going to the hospital and funeral homes. I also ,out of the blue got RA. Crippling and very painful. 3 years now and relief is not in sight. I have sent my natal chart. Maybe you could explain to me WHY in 3 years have so many devastating happenings occured. Thanks, Di
