Pluto Transits

I am sure there is another Pluto thread but I'll post here for now.

Pluto is sextiling my Moon, I thought it would be more supportive but the sextile has not lessened the effects of Pluto.

The first pass was ok, I did move house after a very stressful incident. A very Plutonian energy was in the house share that I lived on, so much so that I had to move.

The 2nd pass retrograde though brought on a death in the family which came as a complete shock. My natal Moon is in my 2nd/3rd house cusp, family members, my Aunt passed away while the transiting Sun was inconjunct the transiting Pluto, tr Sun was square my Moon. It does four passes in total:unsure:.

AspieTaurus, I have only just read this post of yours.

I'd say that is fairly standard Pluto stuff. Consider that a lot of the `loss of faith' is down to Pluto's conjunction to Neptune, and that occurs as a generational transit for everyone in mid 20's or so. It seems necessary that any kind of `devotion' to a power figure will need a balancing dose of reality - Pluto does this far more dramatically than transiting Saturn.

The positive outcomes you mention - empathy, meditation, and an interest in Jungian psychology - all all brilliant outcomes IMO.

Pluto started going into conjunction with my Moon-Mars-Neptune stellium 2 years ago and will be over it for about 5 more and I have been in Pluto H*ll. My step-dad and grandmother died, my best friend (who has a physical disability) was raped, and my faith in everything I have believed until now has been collapsing beneath my feet. The president I voted for so enthusiastically in 2008 turned out to be another corporate hack and my faith in mainstream politics has been crushed. I have had a lot of dark emotions coming out of the deaths and have been feeling overwhelmed my intense feelings of skepticism towards everything I have believed.

On the plus side, however, I have become much more empathetic (rather than just merely sympathetic) with others, I have been more sociable, and more in tune with my emotions.

Interestingly, over the past year or so I have become almost obsessed with Jungian Psychology. I also started meditating a year and a half ago to deal with all my emotions in 2009.

After reading these threads about transiting Pluto, I would like to add that I currently have Pluto transiting my 1st house, Capricorn, conjunct (just moved past) native Mars 13' Cap opposite native Uranus 8' Cancer - 7th hse

Since Pluto is moving Retro, the pressure of wanting to bust out of a totally disgusting career rut, is beginning to take shape. Today, I have had it, and I am committed to moving on regardless of my apprehension/fears of the economic uncertainty facing the US, my own feelings of inadequacies in meeting the challenges of a new career move, etc....enough is enough!

My frustrations with working with lazy, sloppy coworkers and for a third rate business has led to several confrontations with both coworkers and manipulative clients who desperately need to cling to every nickel and dime in their sorry little paws.

Over the past couple of years, I have assumed a subordinate position and have allowed simpleminded people to push me around and send me on unproductive pursuits all for the sake of some phantom notion of job security. But not anymore.....I am feeling a lot less insecure and more willing to risk rejection in the job market just to be able to find/create a more fulfilling career and better income. I am ready to leave and although I have come precipitously close to just walking out, I now feel a lot more confident that what's around the corner has got to be better than what I have tolerated in the past. Whether it's Pluto transiting my ascendant Mars in 1st house or Pluto opposing Uranus, I am ready for a transformation.

Any thoughts? Suggestions?

What I have emboldened sounds like a very `plutonic; statement, especially since you mention the word, `transformation' - which is what Pluto is all about in our lives.

I suspect that both transits - to Mars and to Uranus - are at work here. Pluto opposing Uranus is about breaking away from restrictive circumstances, while the Mars transit gives you the drive and energy to do it.

Suunzuun, read what Amazon 1963 posted: LOL! Guess what I learned? You might move or remove yourself from what you may perceive as the source, but your transits chase you regardless!! In the new state I found the same Pluto issues just with different people. At the time I was unaware of natal charts or transits and have now become aware. So it was actually the energies and reactions I carried within myself that brought out issues in another location.
You cannot change people or events. But you can change how you react to them, positively or negatively. You can change your thoughts not theirs. One of the most important lessons I have learned since Pluto came to visit my 1st house.

Keep this in mind while you are still in your job. Pluto will push you to make a radical change, and mars and uranus are thirsting for very quick action, but if you are out of work you may find yourself in worse shape, depending on your finances. And a new job might bring you the same type of inter-personal situations, until you resolve them inside yourself. Move carefully, and be cautious. At work, be as patient as you can be, and try to understand the point of view of the others. Don't just throw everything in the air, you might regret it!
Good luck.

Since I keep seeing references to several members remarking about Pluto transits....thought for organization purposes that a discussion thread be started...

Sag 8 degrees rising here...Pluto transiting my 1st house since around 1995. Squares and oppositions: Pluto opposition Sun; Pluto square Moon; Uranus opposition Pluto, etc and so on...I dont have the author of the following...this is from early notes I made on transits:

Pluto: Pluto symbolises complete change and transformation ~ not suddenly like Uranus but slowly, profoundly and with a focus on the very depths of our beings. It brings strength and intensity to whichever area of our lives it touches. Pluto transits question the central tenets on which we have built our existence and why we behave in the ways that we do. They bring hidden psychological baggage to the surface ~ allowing us to review and to rebuild matters from a fundamental standpoint. Outmoded yet deeply conditioned psychological and emotional responses are frequently notable candidates for such.

Pluto transits often confront us with highly sensitive topics which we would rather ignore, so it's effects can be very difficult whilst we are working through them. Issues of control, manipulation, jealousy, possessiveness, dominance and power are frequent. This planet can engender a very ruthless response, so attitudes which take no account of the feelings of others should certainly be avoided. It's entry into a house is often associated with destruction and with decay, yet in time a new order will arise providing that Pluto's essential challenges are squarely addressed.

Inappropriate resistance will generally prove useless anyway. It will usually only serve to extend and to prolong this planet's more difficult effects!

PLUTO TRANSITING YOUR 1ST HOUSE (approx. 14-30 years duration)
During this period you may desire increased personal power and physical invulnerability. You may transform your personal appearance and personal expression several times. You may increase your will power, self-confidence, and personal resourcefulness through physical or competitive activities. Through stages of self-improvement you cast off your vulnerable or threatened self- image and assume a stronger, more autonomous persona.

10 years of having Pluto transiting my 1st house has resulted in an 'armed truce' with the planet. I might add its effects on my psyche, reactions, feelings and perspective have been profound (thats putting it mildly  ). As a side note, it was during this time that I earned the nickname, Amazon. Yep, friends and family really do call me Amazon.

The power issues in my personal life have been about 'others', specifically their attempts to manipulate, exert control or to totally dominate me and my reactions to their efforts. I would also like to note that if you ever have to deal with some of the oppositions and squares that I have had in the last 2-3 years and are still occurring presently in my chart...May all the blessings of the universe fill you with more patience for others and yourself than you ever thought possible. Cuz yer gonna need lots of patience...

Interestingly, over the past six days or so, I have been pondering this very subject and reviewing journal entries. Had a great 'aha' moment too...I took a special work assignment in another state 2 years ago to 'get away' from what I thought at the time was dysfunctional family dynamic.

LOL!

So, this Amazon keeps her plutonian charged arrows of assertion lightly sheathed, chooses her battles wisely, welcomes the challenge of introspection and personal growth, follows her own path regardless of what others would attempt to dominate, and realizes that a little bit of Pluto goes a very long way.

And so...where is Pluto transiting in your chart?

I'm sure there are threads on Pluto transits, which I have responded to several times. I have Pluto in Capricorn, 1st house and don't know how much worse things could get. My story is in Pluto transits. I have been faced w/ many deaths, son 6 months ago, 1st husband, mother, son in law, earning power, health, surgeries and the list continues to build. I would like to suggest going to Pluto transits because I have seen your writings there, not the same one as this thread but I remember the armed truce quote. Thanks, Di

does pluto transit in 7th house all bad? it just passed my DC early this year and turned retro in april and my fiance and I broke up a month after, it is now back in my 6th house due to its retro movement but will hit my DC again sometime in december-january, and next year will retrograde again and will hit my DC AGAIN sometime in july-august 2012, seems like it wont let me have breather in the love department... does pluto in my 7th house for many years means I wont be able to marry? I wanted to get married already as I'm already in my 30s but I feel like pluto transit is taking that chance away from me. :crying:

For one thing, how is pluto situated in your natal? Also, what aspects is the transiting pluto making to other natal planets? This transit isn't necessarily negative, in fact it can be very helpful in getting to the root of long standing problems and sorting them out.

I have Pluto in Cap transitting the 11th house of hopes and wishes, science and technologies such as internet. It is in square to my Mars and Neptune in the 8th Libra. I have had a guy trying to seduce me into sharing my assets with him in a shonky scheme I would say..He is also a Capricorn......... He has tried to build a relationship of trust via the dating sites where he trawls for likely vulnerable women. But as I have Pluto sextile Mars Neptune natally he has not succeeded as I am too wary, intelligent and savvy to fall for his ploys with a sextile to Mercury.... I have also had a heightened sex drive and have expressed myself via the internet in many ways with that but with a secret persona.....Neptune....conjunct Mars......8th...It is I that have seduced him but just for fun.... I have also done our composite chart which warned me of many things and is a different picture altogether with just synastry comparisons and shows the real purpose of the relationship....very enlightening.....
.

pluto is in 4th house libra in my natal, and in transit it squares sun, moon and MC and trine venus, opposes jupiter and AC (all 0-2 degrees) oh and sextile Uranus (but 4 degrees, does it still count or just the 0-3 degrees are what matters?) I know pluto transit aint that bad but its just hard letting go especially if it comes to relationships  I'm trying to take things slow and have the "just go with the flow" attitude so it wont be too hard for me, but its hard

I am currently having two "soft" Pluto transits that I am feeling.

It is trine my Ascendant and in a very wide orb to sextile my Venus. With it's retrograde, it's been going back and forth between my 4th and 5th house for quite awhile now.

I am changing my appearance, transforming parts of my sexuality, how I feel about relationships, and becoming more intense about such issues.

It is also sextile natal Jupiter, but I am not feeling that one so much, or rather, I am not sure how it is manifesting itself

It is also leaving a bad opposition to my natal Saturn and square it's natal self, so those are starting to diminish.

So far, I am enjoying the softer transits immensely.

Pluto currently transits my 11th and is in approaching square to my 8th house Uranus, the ruler of my 1st house (Asc Aqua) and of my chart.
Am I right to think that the effects of this square may be like that of Pluto transiting the 1st?

Hi suimui...that seems like a logical assumption...that first house matters could be stirred up but then so could 8th house matters since Uranus is in your 8th, don't you think? How did you fare while Pluto was transiting your 10th? Just curious because that's what happening w/ me right now...and it's just now passed over an opposition to my natal venus in the 4th.

Goodness. I am not happy with this coming up. I already have problems with people (T Nept squares my Sun who rules my 7th).
Sorry to break it to you but Pluto ended my career when in the 10th. Forewarned is forearmed, right?
But I also had Pluto conj my Sun in the 10th but then and I have a stellium there. So it doesn't mean the same will happen to you.
My favorite site for transits is: http://www.planetaryvisions.net/pluto c sun.html

Caro -- I like the angelfire site seen it before and thanks a lot for the reminder.
I don't know if you meant that my particular transit (Pluto T in 11th h sq N Uranus in 8th) could be a complete new career but at this point, I'm open to almost anything.
I have Sun/Nept/Merc in my 10th (Scorpio cusp) and my 8th house is populated by Pluto, Jup and Uranus.
Fireworks?

here is another site for transits.

http://www.angelfire.com/empire/serpentis666/Trpluto.html

it can mean a complete new career. do you have planets in 10th and what is going on in 8th house of scorpio?

a friend of mine has this coming up and I feel very positive for her. as she is building a new career for herself which she has been developing over a number of years.
