Oh, gawd, David!!! So very sorry to hear about the stroke you suffered and its terrible aftershocks!!!

Looking back at the transits after last Thanksgiving, it looks to me like your stroke - (which very significantly three other guys you met had the same night) - was likely caused more by the Sun/Mars conjunction in Scorpio being EXACTLY SQUARE SATURN in Pisces : Sun/Mars/Scorpio = intense, inflammatory pressure; squared by Saturn/Pisces = blockage of fluid (blood).

Assuming that your Ascendant is Pisces, this fits the awful setback - three key components of the November stroke are reactivated: Mars, Saturn, and Pisces (the victim).

Uranus was more than 17° out of orb after Thanksgiving, and is totally out of the picture now - Uranus in Taurus can certainly cause major upsets to stability, but slower massive changes. It would likely not be involved in very sudden pressure and total blockage of fluid like Mars vs. Saturn, both times in the two most volatile water signs.

Sending you all my best vibes, man! May you heal 100% and very soon! We go way back, and I've got a great deal of respect, admiration, and gratitude for you!!!

Edrek
And the Saturn in Pisces was near his Moon/Mercury and Moon/Mars midpoint, and the Moon rules bodily fluids, also!

You're right Edrek, Uran was in no position to shield me. Saturn was supercharged, bolstered by the Sun/Mars conjunction. I had fallen asleep to the sounds of thunder and flashes of lightning, after making plans for the next day, when I was caught in an overwhelming vortex of energy and felt like I was dying. After passing out, I awoke on the floor, alone (my wife was away) in our house and barely able to move. It took 3 1/2 days for me to struggle out of the front door and attract the attention of a next door neighbor, who called the fire dept. to take me to the E.R.

C.t., what happened to you? I don't remember seeing anything about your leg problem.

Thought I mentioned it here, but apparently I didn't.

In 2022, I was shot twice (was armed robbery and my first instinct was to fight back - pesky Mars). The shots hit my right arm and left leg. My legs were out of commission for 2 months, when I was laid up in bed for my inability to walk. My right arm is alright I just have an ugly scar there.

After those 2 months I could walk just fine, however, I lost cartilidge around the acetabulum. The doc said I have to lay off of overly stressing my legs by jogging and running, or else I would develop early onset arthritis. So I get my cardio these days by swimming because it's low impact.

One of the bullets is still lodged in my body.

I thank whatever the benevolent higher power is that you survived! Three and a half days is a horrifically long time to stay on the brink between life and death. What an inspirational survivor you are!!!

Random update on my recovery from a large stroke which happened just after last Thanksgiving, with a Sun/Mars conjunction in Scorpio opposite Uran in Taurus during a rare (for where I was sleeping) thunder and lightning storm (which I believe was a factor).
I was so disabled the hospital doctors predicted that I'd be confined to a wheelchair for the rest of my life. But, after a lot of excellent therapy including speech therapy, I've recovered about 75%, and I WAS close to walking unaided.

Then, first Mars and now Saturn hit my ascendant and I'm experiencing a setback when it comes to normal walking for relatively short distances, although I can still hobble around without a walker, and walk well with it. The problem is in the part of the body that Saturn is said to rule, my knee, in this case my left knee, because it was a "left-side stroke", and I had to regain the use of my left hand, arm, and leg. Saturn will be a real problem for about ten more days. When Mars was exactly conj. my Asc. with Saturn @1° orb, I suffered a minor injury when my knee suddenly buckled without warning.

Btw, there weren't very many stroke victims in my rehab place, but I coincidentally met three other guys who had their strokes (of varying intensity) the same night as me.
The challenges of recovery are difficult. As are the life style changes that go with them.

Did you talk to your stroke victims astrologically?

Curious if their chart indicates similarly to yours.

Thank you for the update David.

Glad to hear recovery it is going well. It is a difficult road.

Mercury rx is opposed my natal mercury now. Communication, is totally misunderstood. I’m lying very low, for the rest of it.

That's terrifying! I was once robbed at knife-point an an ATM where I was depositing my tip money (I was a waiter at a pricey restaurant), but all I lost was about $100, all my silver-plated cuff-links, button studs, and my sanity for the next few days.

But in 1988, my own mother shot me in the thigh because in her alcoholic delirium she was certain that I had pried open her safe box and stolen money to buy an expensive gift I gave her, for which I had saved my own money all year, trying desperately to win her love. What a fool I was.

I nearly bled to death in ER. The police urged me to file charges against my mother, but I couldn't bring myself to do that. Too much Pisces/Neptune in my chart. To make it worse, she adamantly denied ever shooting me for the rest of her life - despite the gunshot scars in my leg which I still have to this day.

To put this "on topic", my mother had Moon & Venus in Scorpio in the 12th House and Scorpio Rising - all of these T-square my natal Sun and Pluto. Plus Mars in Capricorn square my Saturn, opposite my Uranus, and conjunct my Chiron.
This thread is in the chat section, not in an astrological section of this forum, so you don't really need to talk about astrology here.

My musical taste has changed from classical back to EDM, and the new ones are phonk and rap, although I don't like phonk as much in this month as in January 2024 anymore.

Yikes. Glad you found help.

David: It sounds to me like you had no food for 3 days? You were all alone on the floor all that time? OMG, my worse nightmare. Thank god the neighbor was around to help when you finally got to the door. I have a lot of difficulty walking because of arthritis, but I cannot imagine what you went through! Didn't you have access to your cell phone (I guess not or you would have called someone) Sounds like a horror movie. :( :(

what is this connection with Saturn? dh (cap asc/ moon) is out of commission the same way! Editing to say, makes perfect sense now looking at his natal chart.

To be honest, I am not sure if the culprit is necessarily Saturn in my case. On the day of the incident, the astrology isn't clear cut imo.

Transiting Mars and Jupiter were hugging my IC in Aries -- which was an analogue to Natal Mars and Jupiter hugging the Sagittarius ASC.

Moon was in Aries that day and passed over the conjunction at the IC - which would be a fitting day to die astrologically as you aware that the 4th house has death sigs. attached. I could have easily lost my life because the assailant shot after me 5 times, I was hopped up on enough will to live and adrenaline that I dodged 3 of those and luckily the 2 that landed did not hit me in fatal places.

Saturn was one degree off natal Moon on the day, and was about to retrograde so that conjunction was not going to perfect.

My chart is sensitive to Uranus, and in the LR Uranus/NN was conjunct LR ascendant -- which shows a supercharged Uranus energy for the time period. There was certainly a shock to my system that I have felt since that day. Not only the sudden change in my new fate, but also all of the intensity of the passed years hit a crescendo such that I have been nursing a certain level of burnout ever since.

6 days after that I had another near miss with death.

At this point, that extra gear I had prior to the incident is absent. I am optimistic that it will come back some day, but I am still in a recovery period. My aim is to close out the rest of my 20s on a more calm and steady pace, and luckily Venus energy is strong in my charts that can aid with that.

What did you find in your husband's chart that clicked?

I had unwisely gone to bed without my phone, and it was out of reach for me in my disabled state. After the first day without drinkable water, I found a frozen one gallon jug of water in the standing freezer I managed to open, which was in there to help keep it cold in the event of a brief power failure. That kept me from getting seriously dehydrated. I wasn't hungry for some reason. I was in an "altered state" from the stroke, shifting in and out of consciousness. But I held onto that jug of water the whole time until I was able to get help! Small sips only!

Oh David.

That is so horrible. You are alive. That is amazing, under those circumstances.

Thank you for sharing.

It is a lesson to us all as we age. I have a hard line phone in our bedroom.

Three days is a very long time for a stroke victim to be unattended.

I couldn’t get my mom to wear a “help me I’ve fallen and I can’t get up” necklace.

Then that’s what in the end hospitalized her.

Well wishes and strength to you.🌸

Is your Saturn return completed yet?

Saturn conjunct Moon is such a serious thing in Vedic astrology, it lasts like 7-8 years.

Looks like dh's issue first flared up (first time in several years) when tr. Saturn conjoined natal Chiron. Usually I can get it under control with various alternative therapies, which I did and then he went to the gym a couple weeks later and suddenly his knee became huge and unusable. Saturn probably passed Chiron rx and conjuncted his Jupiter rx a couple degrees later. It seems to be getting better now. I hope.

Hope the ailments stay away for him

Still in the thick of the Saturn Return. On balance, it's been a positive time. Some serious ground work is being laid and the disciplining and "slowing down" energy gives me focus and limits my scope. Yes sometimes I feel restricted, but I also know its for my own good. The Aquarius Moon gives me an intuitive understanding of the benefits Saturn energy can bring.

Heard about that vedic ordeal. Sade Sati right? IIRC They say Aquarius Moons are the only ones that find the timeframe beneficial. (probably Cap Moons too but don't quote me on that). Realistically I will be under that influence up until 2030. These could be my most productive years. Or, everything could go up in smoke if the fates have other things in store.

We will see

It appears that Astro-Seek has closed their FORUM too :( I just signed in over there and found this: (they were opened a few nights ago) Does anyone know why this is?
