One thought, that's not necessarily correct, is that he's "in the pocket" of the health insurance companies. Can anyone explain it another way?

I think Trump's totally a capitalist who wants to pickpocket Americans who are REALLY desperate of money. He just wants the economy to flourish, not the humanity

And health insurance companies have to follow Trump's orders to implement his evilness in the whole USA. That's one of the reasons why Luigi Mangione killed United Healthcare's CEO, because the CEO didn't care about humans when he was alive, and killed many others as well, due to delaying surgeries, operations, blocking access to important medicines, in order to benefit himself and the company.

Unlike in 2021, when unhinged Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building in a vain attempt to prevent Biden's certification as President-elect, no riots are expected - 2025 will usher in a peaceful transition of power.

However, exaltant Republican Trump-supporters couldn't resist interrupting the proceedings with unnecessary, raucous applause.

Because healthcare corporations are huge donors. The ACA mandated that 80% of premiums be spent on the consumer. That lowered their profit margins.

Without the ACA, healthcare would once again be tied to employment. Underpaid, undervalued and stressed at your job? If you leave, you have no healthcare. COBRA is unaffordable. If you remember back in the day, preexisting conditions often had a months long waiting period to kick in, if they did at all. If you had family with cancer, diabetes, autism, a child born with a disability, heart problems, you would be paying out of pocket or delaying treatment until the waiting period was over. Premiums were often huge to cover them.

People would stay working in a stressful environment instead of looking for better jobs. Employers wouldn't have to improve working conditions. Employees can't afford to leave families without healthcare. This will return if the ACA ends.

As already pointed out elsewhere, President Trump will be inaugurated under a conjunction of the Sun, Pluto, the Midheaven, and the fixed star Altair. Has there ever been such a bizarre combo anywhere else?

Interesting in the wake of the Inauguration, a polar vortex is due to hit the US. It's an invasion of Siberian air with deadly cold temperatures predicted. Not a usual occurrence at all.
