Hello everyone,
I'd gladly appreciate your opinion about a horary I asked about myself (I am rarely good at reading my own charts, I dont know why) but, the question was should I apply for this assistant (volonteer) position? It's a spiritual movement (more like a community with a youtube channel where they deal with all the metaphysical subjects, etc) something that I'm deeply into.
Thanks :)

You seem to be combust by the sun which might be a conflict with the leaders but that's just a total guess

Moon in it's fall in Cap, Squaring Neptune in the 3rd? It doesn't feel like you will be super comfortable within the community somehow. It may bring disappointment? But I guess if you don't build it up too much or have too high of expectations it could be a learning experience?

FWIW, I see the lord of the 1st, Jupiter, in the 6th (service) conjunct Uranus (idealism, altruism, advanced thinking) Venus (devotion, harmony) the Sun (authority, soul) all sextile Neptune (inner perception) in the 4th (community, home). The Moon is close inconjunct (which I read as a neutral aspect depending on the nature of the planets involved) Jupiter and Venus (both benefics).
Mercury and Uranus are sextile Saturn (duty, responsibility, integrity). Pluto (hidden forces, inheritances, etc) in the 2nd house (finance, resources) is also trine Jupiter, Venus and the Sun.
So I definitely see a lot of good aspects going into this. Granted, horary is not necessarily my thing.

Kubi, my methods are a bit different than treguard's and katydid's (simplified traditional horary) but I am reaching a similar conclusion, in that the results are ambiguous.

With Sagittarius rising, Jupiter is your significator. It is appropriately placed in the 6th house of service and volunteerism. Jupiter is weakened by lacking essential dignity and being combust the sun (if not right now, soon, as it moves into Gemini.) In the first house, the moon is your co-significator here, but it is in detriment in Capricorn. It looks like Taurus is on the 6th house cusp, with house ruler Venus combust the sun. If we think about spirituality and metaphysics as a 9th house matter, we look for house ruler Mercury. Here things pick up a little, with Mercury in Taurus and Venus in Gemini in mutual reception. My reading is that if you do this volunteer job, there will be aspects of it that you like, but overall, it will be hard on you.

Another point to consider is how reputable this particular spiritual movement really is. You might do some research to see if you can discover any complaints made about this group, for example. (I just read about one today, for example, about a Hare Krishna group in the Philadelphia.) A worst case would be this group turning out to be a cult. But even without any major problems, please seriously consider the type of commitments it will require of you.

A spiritual quest can be a long journey, often life-long. There will be other opportunities along your way if you don't take this one.

Yes, I'm getting mixed signals and probably I'm expecting way too much..Thanks for your insight :)

Wow, this makes sense, especially when you wrote "ambiguous", that's the same feeling I had while trying to interpret my chart. I know it sounds "cultlike" but it's more like a small but growing community that comes together to share thoughts on absolutely anything metaphysics related, I know they are not harmful in that sense, but yes, probably it would be way overwhelming for me and not give any inner satisfaction in return, the same intuitive feeling I had from the beginning. Thank you so much for clearing this up for me!🥰

You are jupiter taurus in 6th, sure its combust so you arent seeing the job clearly…more the perceived advantage to spiritual discussions that interest you…. But while there is combustion, ruler of your taurus jupiter is in mutual reception to mercury in 5th. That to me says its a jailbreak out of combust! you are using mercury to analyse!

decision is mars strong in 4th conj north node for benefits but conj chiron for some unexpected hurt.

and I would agree with chiron. You may never see that spiritual movement the same again! Where people are involved you are likely to get a strong wiff of reality. And it wont be pretty.

its a good thing though….bitter sweet… some good, some bad….

moon squares mars next…ruler of decision.

says you wont.

Scratch that last bit…. I see mars is not 9 but 19 Deg. Next is mercury than sext saturn…then mars. So some chatter and process…but then square mars

Yes, I kind of already gave up on the idea. From the first glance at this chart of mine, I just had a flash: you can go for it but it will be a big nothing. Another great insight that just confirms my initial thoughts. Thank you so much!

Thanks for the feedback, Kubi. When horary works, theoretically it's because the chart is actually a map of what you already know; but it's just clouded. Ideally a horary chart gives a picture of the situation. When it doesn't, maybe the chart is mis-timed, or the question as stated is not the real issue. My thought is that if you enjoy this group, there doesn't seem to be harm in participating on a casual level (Venus Mercury mutual reception) but volunteering (6th house) may be more than you care to tackle.

FraterAC and treguard, if you are interested in horary, I hope you will keep up your studies. There are some good books out there, both traditional and modern, as well as a good traditional tutorial at Skyscript.

I read Lilly's Introduction to Astrology (his horary book) and carried it around awhile about 28-29 years ago. I just think there are easier kinds of divination.

Lilly is pretty advanced, and the 17th century language doesn't help us much. There are more recent readable horary text books, more or less modern or traditional. Horary is capable of giving "yes or no" answers. It's used to find missing objects (or people, pets.) Because it goes by the moment of the question, it is useful for situations where birth/event times are unknown or unknowable. Learning whether our readings are correct or not depends on the feedback from querents.

(So thanks for yours, Kubi!)
