Hello,

Has anyone ever had a soul retrieval done? I have a friend who has spoke at length about the practice and urges that I need one. She also said it is something that cannot be done for a price, it is a practice from one soul to another in efforts to selflessly help. Told me there are many scammers out there and to be careful.

I have read quite a bit about of it and I am interested in finding someone to help me achieve one, or have one done on my behalf.

I can't help you achieve one, but I believe I've had something like a soul retrieval done to me led by the divine or my spirit guides. It happened via what felt like very lucid dreams, but in retrospect, I think I was in a very deep meditative state. That reinforces the fact it may have been a soul retrieval

If I'm correct and that's what it was, I will say that the impact has been invaluable. It was integral in my healing journey which included dealing with a lot of heavy childhood trauma

It took several months for me to complete that part of my healing journey, but I'm no shaman and perhaps a trained shaman could achieve it for you in a single session

I believe it was a soul retrieval because it helped me heal from trauma and it because it drastically changed things for me to the point the next day after a key session, I didn't feel the same. I felt like something had become freed within me

Everyone I've ever encountered who does soul retrievals does it for a price. That may not be the way it's supposed to be done, but it's something that's become part of the alternative healing field, where professionals, as can be expected, charge for their services. The price would be comparable to a therapy session, and some may have alternative payment arrangements, but it's there. The people I know who do soul retrievals also do other kinds of alternative healing, like hypnotherapy or massage therapy or reiki. Also for a price.

There may be people who do soul retrieval without charging money for it at all, but if so, I've never met them.

That said, why does your friend say you need a soul retrieval?

Every reason there might be to have a soul retrieval could probably also be fulfilled through other methods. I wouldn't think soul retrieval is the only way.

Lol thank you

Also I believe Osa is correct that there are other means of healing. For me, the benefit of what I went through and believe to have been a soul retrieval is that my trauma began when I was too young to know myself. That created a situation where the pain and everything it birthed became who I was, or who I thought I was

What I went through and believe to have been a soul retrieval helped me to see myself and my world more clearly. But if I'm being honest, after that, I had a lot more work I had to do myself. The difference was that I wasn't fighting an eternally losing battle anymore. I remembered who I really was and was finally able to truly pursue healing

My wounds are very deep. I'm not sure if it would've been necessary otherwise

I had a similar experience through hypnotherapy. It wasn't billed as soul retrieval, but it ended up serving the same function.

A friend of mine who does both hypnotherapy and soul retrieval (and a few other modalities as well) once mentioned a client she'd had who she felt she couldn't start hypnotherapy with until she'd done soul retrieval with them. The reason was that this person had recently been rescued from an extremely traumatic situation they'd been in for years and was not at all mentally stable. According to my friend, it took soul retrieval to get this client into a space where they were ready for hypnotherapy.

The why behind it is my conjecture, but I would guess it's because hypnotherapy requires a degree of mental stability. You don't have to be entirely healthy, mentally - if you did, that would defeat the purpose it's often used for - but you do have to have a solid grounding in reality. And hypnotherapy places some onus on the client, to intentionally participate in their own healing. Soul retrieval is much more a case of the practitioner doing it all for the client.
