I thereby solemnly declare to smash through all my comfort zones,
And to experience my greatest fears with faith,
By following the winds of God,
Until some moment in the future,
I breathe a sign of relief as time winds down and
God whispers to me to stop.

Enjoyment of life is felt,
Not by staying within a comfort zone,
But by smelling the roses as the winds of faith
Carry you from one place to the next.

‘Half of life is lost in charming others. The other half is lost in going through anxieties caused by others. Leave this play, you have played enough.’
Rumi

‘It is ironic and paradoxical, that the genuine acceptance of the unchangeable is often one of the keys for true and deep change within the psyche. But this little piece of irony…does not appear to be learnable in any school but life’s fires.’
Liz Greene

‘If you want to go quickly, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.’

‘You do not know yourself; you discover yourself. You catch a glimpse, recognise a characteristic response, a preference. You see the consistency of your image despite the ups and downs of mood. And you need others to wake you up if you’re to find your face.’

‘The task of poetry and metaphor is to shatter the surface appearance of things, so that the sacred depth is made manifest. The poetic imagination is a central organ of mythical theology and the perceptual mechanism of the spirit.’

The Greco/Roman god called "Apollo" in both Greek and Latin was guardian of the 9 Muse goddesses who were daughters of the Titaness known as the "Goddess of Memory" (Mnemosyne) and Zeus/Jupiter.

The motto inscribed above the entrance to Apollo's Temple was: Know Thyself

That's where the Muse of Astrology, Ourania/Urania, is especially useful.

Thanks, interesting knowledge. It is a shame that knowledge of these myth’s have been forgotten in society and replaced with religion. There is knowledge also to be gained from religion (even if misinterpreted), but the knowledge to be gained from the myth’s and archetypes are mainly lost. The main replica of it I have seen is in using active imagination techniques from Jungian psychology but how useful to know that a planet like Uranus can help you discover yourself if channeled in this way.

Shakespeare must have been an Uranian since he coined ‘to thine own self be true.’ I know he was a Taurus born in the Chinese year of the Rat.
