Turning 30 in a month, scared for the future. Any good news?

I'm an old lady, so please trust me that turning 30 isn't such a problem. You'll get through it!

Your Saturn return, recently passed, is a time of leaving one's childhood and youth behind, and facing a few decades of middle age. This is normally a time of re-adjustment.

Absolutely there is "good stuff" in your horoscope. Those blue lines (trines and sextiles) indicate planetary pairs that work well together.

I'm confused about your work life just now. Are you working part-time in a retail job, or are you an intern at a finance company (unpaid?) Both? Are you interested in a ski gear start-up or venture capital?

I will say that a track record of being fired from or quitting jobs after a brief period will harm your future employment chances. But in your own business, you will be "working for" and with clients.

Part of the issue, I think, is your Uranus in the 2nd house of personal finance opposite Mercury in the 8th house of investments (money you share with other people.) Uranus rules sudden change, and this can create a see-saw effect; where it's very easy to flip from one idea to the next. You also have a "splash" type of chart, with planets in many signs and houses. This gives you a lot of commendable diversity, but it can make it hard to focus long-term.

I think the key will be to focus on stability; where even if you're unhappy with a situation, you stay the course to get through it, because you've focused on your medium- and long-term goals.

The thing about hoping that astrology will somehow promise good times ahead, is that good and hard transits and progressions will follow one another in succession. So it's better to build up your personal stamina so that you can successfully weather the tough times, rather than hoping you can escape them.

I'm not qualified to play junior psychologist, but I wonder if you've ever been diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. People with this condition have trouble focusing on a task or project for very long. With counseling, this can be a work-around, if you have it.

BTW, sun square Jupiter is not a "defective" sun aspect. I think it is a classic "biting off more than you can chew" aspect, and perhaps thinking you can do more than is feasible.

If you think about it, millions of people will have this aspect, because the sun will square Jupiter 2x per year, and then we allow an orb of 7+ degrees for the sun on either side, as the aspect applies and separates.

Your Jupiter makes a nice trine to Saturn, suggesting you can balance exaggeration with caution.

Hey all,

The dirty 30 is rapidly approaching and I have feelings of dread and regret. I'm nowhere near where I want to be in life career wise or socially but I hope i'm on the right path as I've started an internship this year,

my startup idea is in motion again and i'm back in university. However, i'm fearful as I have been fired from many jobs or simply ended up in careers that were a poor fit and leave after only a few months. In addition, I often find myself in unpaid "volunteer" positions for experience but have trouble turning them into paid work. I currently work a crummy part-time retail job that I greatly want to quit. Does this ever change? Will I find stability and prosperity at some point? I feel like the only path towards that is if I launch my own business. I can't handle working for others and i'm tired of being rejected from jobs I know I could do well in. If I can't join them then i'll compete against them.

I'm hoping to gain some general insight as to what the next few years could potentially hold and any associated advice to move forward productively. I understand i'm in the midst of my Saturn return but anything else of note? I'm also hoping to move out of my parents home in the near future and maybe even start dating within the next few years. I largely blew my 20s and need to make every moment of my 30s count.

For what it’s worth, I offer the following observations. There is a lot going on in the native’s progressions at this time, but these are the a few that stood out for me. There are Secondary progressions (which I refer to as Major progressions), a few Minor progressions and Transits; also a few important current dates are delineated (I’ve had no contact with the OP so these specific dates were not supplied to me by him). All calculations are as of June 29 - 30, 2024.

There are several other timing techniques I did not calculate at this time.

Some of the good news I see is a Secondary (aka Major) progressed Grand Trine of Jupiter in the 11th, Saturn in the 3rd, and Mars in the 7th houses. These are the relationship houses, so indicate people connections. Jupiter and Saturn will be in trine for some time, until Sept of 2026, Jupiter and Mars until October 2027. This is very positive for the middle term.
Jupiter in 11th signifies friends (among other things), so possibly an older friend who is a mentor, luck in one’s hopes and dreams, etc. Saturn could be an older person, a sibling or neighbor, possibly female; someone quite sensitive, musical, reclusive. Just BTW, if you must commute via water, make sure you are fully prepared and do not be dismayed by delays. Mars could be a partner, spouse, or customer, someone very dynamic and mentally quick and adaptable.
All of these can be very positive influences if the native tunes in to them.

Possible source of conflict is the Major progressed Ascendant (if angles progressed via solar arc in Zodiac longitude) opposition Major progressed Mars. This is in effect until October of 2025; with a final flareup at the end of October, early November. Confrontation with partners, customers, the public, etc. should be avoided, and if unavoidable, handled with as much diplomacy and patience as the native can possibly summon. This is a recurring theme we will revisit.
Note: if MC progressed via solar arc in right ascension, Major progressed Ascendant is opposition antiscion Mars; so Ascendant/Mars either way.

Secondary/Major Aspects
Major Mercury to radical Venus (exact ~ 01’);
Major Uranus trine radical Venus (very close 03’);
Major Uranus trine Major Mercury (56’).
Since Venus rules the 10th house, this is very positive for the career and social standing at this point in time. Gain from higher or professional education, especially a very progressive female teacher. Very stabilizing for the native’s mentality.

Major prog Moon conjunct radical Mars in 7th.
Approximately 4 months ago, in February & March 2024, some conflict with a partner, spouse, customer, the public, etc.

One notable Minor Progressed Aspect
Minor Neptune opposition radical Mercury; bad judgment, illusion, deception. Very important to stay grounded and clear. Use reason, logic, not intuition or urges at this time. Do not make castles in the air.

Saturn Return
In terms of the much dreaded Saturn returns, this writer does not tend to pay much attention to them, or to the Major progressed Moon’s synodic return, or the first Tertiary solar return, all of which delineate approximately equal time periods. They are time markers, nothing more. IMO it’s what is going on between them that is important. If one navigates those things successfully, the returns do not matter.
