Or, more like, unexpect? 😂

I have had Uranus enter my 5th house since June 2024, as it will stay there until April 2029. So a whole five year transit that will take up the remainder of my 40s, and into my Big 5-0 (gulp!)

It will briefly dip back into my 4th, from end November 2024 until beginning April 2025. Then will stay in my 5th for the next 5 years.

So far, the transit has coincided with a rather feisty and hot-headed Taurus entering my life (quite literal with Taurus on the 5th house cusp). We both have our Moon in a fire sign (me Sagittarius, him Aries), so it can be quite stormy at times! Arguments are usually resolved the next day though, once we've stopped throwing our toys out of the sandbox 🙂

But, I'm thinking it's still Uranus though. Instability and definitely unpredictable events. I feel this is a transit where anything can happen, with many curveballs thrown all over the place. I'm not expecting anything resembling commitment.

Next July 2025, Uranus will enter Gemini, so definitely a shift there. It will probably be VERY changeable, with it being a Mutable sign 😮

If anyone has had this transit, please share what experiences you've had, especially in terms of romance, dating, relationships, etc.

Uranus entered my 5th house at the end of its transit through Pisces all the way through Aries.

For me this was a period in my life that felt very much like I was on an heroic journey in search for the holy grail.

Aries in my chart is ruled by Mars in Cancer retrograde in 9th house. So this “heroic journey” for me was largely about stepping away and separating myself from my family and culture of origin, and becoming aware of my individuality and perspectives on life beyond the beliefs and opinions I had grown up with.

At the end of it, I returned back to my family/culture of origin with a realisation similar to the famous T.S Eliot quote:

“… and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”

Personally I would use the Jungian term “individuation” to describe Uranus’ transit through Aries in my 5th house. But this may be more so because of Aries rather than the 5th house, however maybe there will exist this sense of going through an heroic journey of sorts, whether it is to discover some truth that you have been seeking, overcome some major, existential obstacle, or bring into manifestation something of your creativity and essential being as an individual.

Uranus will transit both Taurus and Gemini whilst in the 5th house, and both their rulers Venus and Mercury fall in your Pisces 2nd house, so at least this will make potential interpretations less complicated. With these planets also in a stellium with your Sun, it is possible whatever this period is about may involve some important self-discoveries and a sense of “coming into your own” in ways that maybe you’ve not been able to do in the past. This stellium also forms a grand water trine with Mars in Cancer and Uranus in Scorpio, so along with the themes of personal skills and resources suggested by Taurus and the 2nd house, some important aspects of your nature and abilities may be coming into fruition. With the 7th house and 10th houses, important relationships and career/vocation will be involved.

To make sense of the Taurus in the 5th, reflect back upon how Uranus in Taurus in the 4th has been for you. What new insights and revelations have you needed to integrate into your self-concept? What previously unknown aspects of your emotional nature have you become aware during this period? How may this process of emotional integration then in some way be a positive contribution to what will become your focus during Uranus through the 5th?

I also wonder if the current/recent transit of Mars through late Cancer has offered you some important glimpses into what the future transit will be about? (By virtue of Mars’ trine to Venus and Mercury as rulers of Taurus and Gemini in your 5th house.)

Uranus may not have anything to do with a 5th house romance FOR YOU, except in terms of personal values and self worth (ruler 2nd house).. What about your astrological talent. Maybe Uranus is heading in that direction for you.

As well as the transits, you might find it of interest to look at the secondary progressions for this time that may convey more regarding the 'once in a lifetime' situations playing themselves out. :)

Thanks for the responses everyone! 🙂

I think my natal Uranus Scorpio certainly has a bearing in how the transits manifest.

To answer the questions of when it was in my 4th house, that was very intense. Oddly the transit began literally the same week as the first lockdown in March 2020 😮 so a literal manifestation of "significant changes relating to the home"!

The entire transit centred on immense changes in immediate family, in terms of relocations, births, deaths, drastic changes in circumstances. My immediate family all have heavy Scorpio placements themselves, either Sun, Moon, both 8th house and Scorpio stelliums (I'm the odd one out lol, with my breezy Sagittarius stellium!). At the end of the transit, we are rock solid as a unit 🙂

Even going back further, to Uranus transit the 3rd house, where I wrestled with some intense mental health issues, including a diagnosis of ADHD. But again, at the end of the transit, I managed to find some great coping strategies (Qigong, Tai Chi, and meditation literally saved my mind!) which helped me to regain control and order.

So now, Uranus in 5th. I expect there to be a shift in energy, it does appear to be manifesting romantically so far, in someone who is definitely the Uranian type! Very erratic personality (which at least it prevents boredom haha). I've always dated unusual types (including two very long term relationships with Aquarius men), but this one is next level!

It's "early days" of the transit (barely months), I usually find it takes a year for the Uranus transit in a new house to fully reveal what the themes are.

I had that transit in 2000 - I also have the Moon in the 5th, so that time was a little bit more fun with an handful of flirts thrown in; nothing memorable, just more fun than usual.

Fun sounds promising, music to this Sagittarius Moon/Asc ears 🙂

Right now, fun is being heavily curtailed as Uranus has been square my natal Saturn in Leo, from my operation and the recovery. Christmas is as good as cancelled as I'm going to be recovering from a second medical procedure, so I miss out on the parties 😟

Maybe when after Uranus makes the final pass to square Saturn, then things will loosen up a bit. I have the next 5 years to enjoy it 🙂

Moon in Aries like myself exist within all signs, my lovely Taurus is the gentlest, kindest man, but he attracts all the fruit loops being Moon in Pisces.

I would expect a crush!
Venus naturally rules the 5th, so it is quite similar to Uranus transit to Venus, which from personal experience brings crushes! Crushes can not be a foundation for long lasting relationships, though. On these grounds, instability in relationships.
Alternatively, maybe you find enlightment when you deal with your free time activities, such as Astrology.

Uranus transiting your 5th house can spark unexpected changes in creativity, romance, or hobbies. Embrace innovation and spontaneity, as this transit often brings unique self-expression and surprising personal growth.
