Hi, everyone!

I would really appreciate your help with this chart! I have been contemplating a career change for the past 5-ish years, always lacking the courage or the direction to do so.

I asked this question after I made a connection to someone from a company that's in the field I am considering. More than a week has passed since asking and I am in the process of scheduling an interview with them. I was told that they will have an opening for someone with my credentials at the end of the year, but I am hoping sooner.

I believe the chart shows the situation quite well and I feel the answer is "yes, but". Lol. My main concern is Saturn in Pisces in the 12th as the career significator. If this shows my current career, then YES, that is exactly how it is. Especially given how Mars is in Saturn's detriment and how apathetic I am about my current career. Mars is also in its own fall and I believe I suck at this... my self esteem has gotten so low because of my work, to the point that I've become medicated for depression and anxiety. My workplace is also quite toxic and my boss is abusive and I believe this shows as the separating Moon-Pluto square.

Mars and Saturn are mutually applying for a trine, with positive reception from Saturn (triplicity) and negative from Mars. Moon's last aspect is a sextile to Saturn (and if we count the outer planets, the conjunction to Uranus is indicative of me leaving and then there's the sextile to Neptune and the Nodes, which is telling me that I am better suited for this new career and it is more aligned with my spiritual path, which I agree with). So I believe that the answer is yes. But I do feel that it will take longer than I hope. And I hope I won't change my mind given that Mars is rx. I am quite apprehensive of leaving a very secure and well paying job in this economy and taking a leap into the unknown. What if I am making a huge mistake? Nobody in their right mind would leave my job. It is the dream job for anyone in my field. But it is a nightmare to me...

Maybe I am seeing only what I want to see, so that is why I am posting the chart here. Thank you very much in advance for any insights you may have!

Ahhh no, I was wrong :( Moon's last aspect is a sextile to Mars, not Saturn. Which means that Moon also prohibits the Mars-Saturn trine. So I am confused now... given that Moon is also my significator, how do I interpret this? :O Is it a no after all??? :(( But given that Moon immediately after sextiling Saturn is sextiling Mars, won't this act like a transference of lights in a way?

Because hmm.. since doing the chart I realized I know someone else that works for this company and has a very good relationship with the manager, who could recommend me. And yes, this person is a female. Maybe she is Moon?

My thoughts are that you as Mars are both in fall and retrograde, so not strong or well positioned in the matter. Mars receives Saturn/the job/career poorly by detriment, so you may not like the job. And Saturn is in the hidden 12th, so there may hidden matters regarding the job.
But mainly, I see the very early rising point suggesting that it is premature to be asking this question.
So I guess what I am saying is that it might we wise to wait and maybe find out a lot more about this company before making this kind of significant decision? I don't usually look at the outers much, but seeing Moon as the question's unfolding in partile applying square to Pluto definitely gives me pause.

Hi, IleneK! Thank you so much for taking a look!

Of course, you are very wise in advising me this and I am taking all the precautions (my other significator is Moon in Taurus). However, I asked this question about 2 weeks ago and things have developed a lot since then. At the time I asked, yes, I didn't know much about the company and it was just the thought oh wow, could this be the chance that I was waiting for? So yes, the chart is reflecting this. But my feeling is that Saturn represents my current career - I absolutely feel imprisoned by it, I have to make a lot of sacrifices for it, including with my physical and mental health so it's no surprise that Saturs is in Pisces in the 12th. It fits my situation to a T. Initially I also thought it represents the new job, but I think it describes my current situation that I desperately want to break from. Mars loathes Saturn and I hate going to work every day.
Anyway, regarding the new company - I have researched it online, I have asked my friends in the industry about it, so far everything checks out. I also realized that a friend of a friend works there (I didn't have this information when I asked the question) and I met with her yesterday (the person I believe is the Moon transfering lights between Mars and Saturn). I asked her all the nitty gritty questions about the job. Especially the less pleasant stuff. I believe that I can deal with it (some I will not like, the change in schedule is disheartening but not a deal breaker for me). Initially I was supposed to go to an interview in 2 weeks, but she told her manager about me and they want me to go for an informal interview early next week. The manager also said that I can come whenever I want to observe how people work in the company, what the job entails and I can ask any question I want. There will be a formal interview after that, with the higher ups. But from what this person told me, I am quite qualified for the job because I have done these things before though I didn't think I could make a career out of it. It looks like I can, and at the same pay as my current job or possibly more.

So, with the little horary I remember from my golden days lol, and how I feel the situation was/is unfolding, I believe that Mars represents me at my current job/career and Moon is how I am going into the new one. I didn't think I'd be such a strong candidate, but they are looking for exactly what I have to offer. And Moon has both essential and accidental dignity. Mars is indeed quite weak. My confidence has taken a huge hit because of this career, that I honestly believe I have chosen poorly - yes, I am revisiting all the moments where I made this decision and why I did it, in Rx fashion and all I want is to get out of it. The partile square between Moon and Pluto that you mentioned is separating, not applying and it was the moment I decided to quit. When my hand was forced to do something I didn't want and I had to neglect my sick child at home that needed me (Moon deposits Mars in the 5th and no surprise there, my child was my motivation for the change), it was the last straw. That is when I made the decision to leave and it was in the very recent past, but somehow still unfoling, because I am always being forced to do things I do not want. I think that Mars Rx applying to Saturn is me intending to leave my current career and Moon interfering and transfering the lights before the intended aspect perfects is this new opportunity basically giving me the way out. I do not think Saturn is the new company/new career, because my question was not "will I get the job", it was "will I change my career" (=will I be able to leave, that was my mindset when I asked). For the past few years all I wanted was to leave, but I felt trapped in that line of work, in a conflictual and abusive environment. I am starting to think that Moon might be the new career/job, as well as the situation unfolding and also my other significator... not sure how that works, but they all fit somehow. I really like this strong and confident Moon and how its depositor Venus exalted conjuncts the Ascendant from the 12th, albeit out of sign, but it feels like a lucky strike out of nowhere. I never saw this coming. The new job is really good, not only is something I am good at and enjoy, but I may earn more and finally have the freedom I lacked all these years (that upcoming Moon-Uranus conjunction). The company is solid, they are expanding fast and they are quite innovative. The work atmosphere is quite pleasant and there's teamwork and cooperation and I heard nothing but praises about the manager. Oddly, this person has faced a similar situation at their previous workplace as me (Moon sq Pluto separating), hence they decided to leave for this company. Moon's last aspect is the sextile to Mars, which I believe is me signing with them. Sadly Moon is in Mars's detriment :( ouch. Something to consider for the interview.... After the talk with the person that works there I feel quite confident, maybe I will appear too cocky to them :(. Food for thought.

Right now I am polishing my resume and I am going for a visit at the company on Tuesday or Wednesday (I'll check my daily transits lol). I'll meet the manager, talk to the employees, observe how they do their job and what is required of them/me. If everything checks out, then I intend to use all my paid and unpaid vacation days at my current job, totalling about 8 months, in which I will work at the new company. 8 months is enough to realize if this is the right place for me. And if it is, I will quit my current job. If not, I will go back and search again. My position will remain mine for that period of time so I don't risk anything.

My concern right now is Moon's square to Mercury and the Sun. I believe the Sun is my current boss, since it rules the 6th, and he will not let me go without a fight, hence the square. I definitely don't want to burn any bridges, so I have to see how I manage this. He will be very upset if I take such an extended leave of absence, so I am anticipating a conflict there. Not sure who Mercury is, probably the company I work for, because Virgo is intercepted in the 6th, I expect they won't be happy either. But they can't stop me, the law is the law. Sun and Mercury are also weak, on the cusp of the 12th house, Sun is in detriment and Mercury is combust. Good riddance.

Hello,
thank you for writing us the conditions in detail because that way we can understand and make combinations.
For me, this chart shows a change. and I suggest you make it. That's where it directs you. Something new is beginning. I don't want to repeat yourself, you've already mentioned a lot, but I'll tell you the positives in this chart and why I suggest you take this step. All changes have difficulties, as do new beginnings.

The ascendant in Aries shows us something new that is rising, a new beginning.
Mars (You) yes, you are retrograde but at some point it will become retrograde, in the 5th house, in a lucky house and is going to make a triangle with this Saturn. Right now the situation is a bit confusing (retrograde) but it will definitely become clearer in the future and of course for the better. And the Moon shows me the same. It is in your first house, Almighty, in its exaltation (surely your psychology will improve soon) and this Moon will take the light of Saturn (help) and give it to You (Mars).
In the future, this Mars (You) in the right direction will again meet this Saturn with a triangle. You have nothing to fear. This indicates professional success to me.
I like the anti-squishy aspect of Mars on Jupiter Luck, (3rd applications, communication, movement)
Also, the Moon with derivative houses if you look are the opponents (4th = 7th derivative from the 10th house). Super.....
You also have a Venus on the horoscope (protection) and ready to change position and where it will enter it will love Mars (you). ...Venus is finances and maybe you should start with less???? However, my chart shows a change and you should make it. It will be for the good.

OMG Sunrise, THANK YOU! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

I feel so strongly about this... I was indeed in such a dark place regarding my career, so hopeless. OMG I didn't notice the antiscion Mars-Jup conjunction!! Whoaaa thank you! It definitely feels like the lucky break that I needed. <3 I am definitely taking this shot. I have nothing to lose.

exactly dear, you have nothing to lose by doing it but also the map you have given us shows us change and good things.
We said every new beginning has some difficulties until we adapt. You here, in this map you have nothing to fear even if along the way some change needs to be made (Mars is retrograde and will turn direct) it will be for your good (Mars = You) trine Saturn, stability will also come

all my best wishes for your new beginning.

Thank you so much, Sunrise! <3

BTW, I just checked my progressions and guess what? Both my prog Asc and prog MC have changed signs, in the past few weeks! Asc is now 0 Aries, MC is 0 Capricorn, almost the same as this horary! It feels like everything is lining up for this... for a fresh start that I've been wanting for so long!

But that's how it is!! Coincidental?? even your progressed ones show change. We all know very well that when the planets change in our progressed systems, the conditions also change!!!!
and these still show a change in conditions....

Sunrise, thank you! You have made me so happy with these news! <3 Best wishes to you too, sweetheart! <3

If you has written initially that you have nothing to lose, there would have been little need to cast a chart :). I guess sometimes it takes us a while to fully realize where we are.
I am truly wishing you the best!!

Thank you, IleneK!

Well haha I got a bit too brave when I said that. Of course I have things to lose, I still don't know how I will be able to do this lol, it was more like a pep talk to myself. But indeed, I realized a lot while posting in here, so it has helped me tremendously. It's scary but I'm not backing down.

Hi Invicta! I like your plan to use your leave and work for the new company, if it seems like a good thing to do, while retaining your current employment if possible.
I suppose I see your current boss as Saturn, ruler of the 10th, rather than Sun. You/Mars apply, go back, to trine Saturn. Your trepidation is reflected by Mars' uneasy reception toward Saturn, and Saturn is in the unfavorable 12th, so something may be hidden. But Saturn receives you/Mars by solid triplicity. So I say, do as you plan. There is good chance your current boss may not obstruct!
And I am wishing you the very best. To my mind, you've done a fine job with this whole matter!

Thank you, IleneK!

I just got back from the interview with the new company and I am quite disappointed. :( They offered me a lot less money than what I had in mind (Sunrise, you were spot on!). Especially since I know the salary of the woman I talked to, who didn't have any experience and it's only slightly lower than what they offered me. The difference between the entry level salary and senior level is very small. I did not expect this at all...

The other inconvenience is that I won't be able to quit my current job entirely (it's complicated to explain, but I will need this form of employment to get a licence for the new job). I would have to maintain a sort of collaboration contract. Which I guess maybe I could do, if I manage to keep things civil with my current boss. But that's not what I want, I want out of there.

I honestly feel like crying right now. It feels like I will never be able to escape my current job/career, I'm stuck with it for life and I hate it.
I'm gonna contact the new company again next week and try to negociate the salary. But I have a hunch I won't get as much as I want and I don't know what to do. :( It's a bummer because I really like this company and I think I would be able to grow in it. The team is nice, the manager is cool and the company is expanding fast. They want to hire me "yesterday" lol but why won't they pay me accordingly? :(

I am sorry to hear this outcome. Please do know that even if you feel like you will never be able to escape your current job, that very likely is not so. So I hope you may not hold that upsetting thought too closely.
I am wishing you the best!

Thank you, IleneK!

I had a good night's rest and I'm seeing things in a less emotional manner now. Indeed, it's not the end of the world. I am desperate to get out of my career, but desperation is not good in a negociation lol. I don't have much experience with interviews, so I didn't know how to respond when they offered me that salary. I intend to write them an email and request another meeting, where I will explain my point of view and why I believe I deserve more than what they offered. I am willing to make some compromises and accept less money if they offer me free trainings and the possibility to advance after some time (which they already said they are willing to do). But I won't go as low as what they offered. My current paycheck is 40-50% more than what they offered, so you can have an idea. I asked a friend in the industry if she thinks this is a reasonable pay and she also said it's too low. I have private school to pay for and inflation is only getting worse, I would have to be insane to accept this. It would be too much of a downgrade for me; I am desperate, but I am not that desperate. And I am willing to live with the fact that they might say no. It's not the end of the world and they are not the only company in this field. I will take this as a learning experience and I will definitely know how to position myself in my next interview.

Anyway, I did another horary asking if they will give me the salary I want. I am Jupiter in detriment and cadent, ouch. Moon is angular but VOC. There is however an applying sextile from Venus, ruler of the 2nd and Jupiter, and I rule the POF, but that VOC Moon is not looking good to me at all. And Saturn is in the 1st. :( No point in crying over spilled milk, it is what it is. I will move on. Maybe you guys can see things I don't see, I'm not very objective right now. I also don't like that I asked again so soon, horary usually slaps me with Saturn in the 1st or 7th when I do this lol and here it is.

So I kinda still want to go with the 1st chart, which is why I intend to write them after Mars goes direct on Feb 24th. And I will also leave the door open if they have a different position for me, at the salary I currently have, at least. I think maybe with these adjustments things might work out, if they are also willing to negociate. They should, because from what they told me, I'm an ideal candidate for their company. They were excited about stuff in my resume that I didn't even consider relevant. I realized that I really don't know how to market myself, I bring a lot to the table that I overlooked. My self confidence is really that low, but my abilities are not. This experience has opened my eyes to this, if nothing else.

So... update.

I talked to the manager on the phone regarding my salary expectations, she said she will get back to me - it was supposed to be last week. I sent an email yesterday to ask for an update and again nothing. They ghosted me. 💀

I am back in my ****** career/job with no prospects to get out. I filled out a few applications but I am so discouraged. :(

I am sorry for your disappointment and good work talking with the manager on the phone, letting them know your expectations. Now you have gotten an answer, one that does not speak particularly well for them by their conduct. So probably good that you did not go to work with them.

Now you wait to see what next opportunity presents, all the while trying not add another layer to the inherent suffering of your **** job by how you think about it. Just one foot in front of the other while paying good attention. Something is bound to change. Everything changes. Everything.

I am wishing you the best!

Thank you so much, IleneK, for your answer and kind words! ❤️

I am sending other applications, and I have received 2 rejections already. :( But at least they answered me and said that they will get back to me if another position opens for someone with my experience.

I looked at the first chart I posted and now I am more confused than ever by who is who? And how I should interpret it. Or maybe it wasn't fit for interpretation in the first place due to the early Asc.

The funny thing (not funny actually, kinda sad) is that I am having the Sun, Saturn, Mars in transit trine my natal MC, yet I am being ghosted or rejected left and right. Lol

You are welcome.
Well, the job/employer/career is the 10th.
And yes, I think I wrote that the early rising suggests it was too early to ask in reply #3 near the top of the thread…
